Sonya looked around the room with a slight frown, his bob of a tail swishing back and forth. He had come in for a quick bite and cup of coffee, only to find it crowded. Craning his neck he found a single empty table, and bee-lined for it before someone else got there.

Lou Page was taking a break from the paperwork he had to get done for The Chrysalis so that he could act in his prefered role of bandleader tonight rather than have to hand the band off to someone else for the evening. He entered the cafe, his ears flickering at the noise of the crowded room. He looked around, seeking any sort of seating. One of the tables in the back looked empty and he moved in that direction, sidestepping around the waitresses on their ways to and from tables.

Sonya blinked at the other man as they both ended up at the table at the same time. He spread a paw over it. "Share?" he asked.

Lou nodded slightly at that. "I don't mind if you don't."

Sonya nodded and slid into a seat. He held out a paw. "Sonya Vlask," he offered.

Lou shook the offered paw. "Lou Page. Good t' meet you, Sonya." HE took the seat opposite.

"Good to meet you as well," he said, glancing down at the menu a harried looking waitress had set down on that table before him. "Do you come here often? I was unaware it would be so crowded."

Lou glanced over the menu, making a quick decision for what he wanted. "I don't usually come in at this time, but yes, I come here more often than other places. I haven't seen it this crowded in a while."

Sonya raised his head to look around. This many people were making him uncomfortable, and he shifted a little so he was in a better position to see the door, and also to reach his gun if he needed to. He was worried this new job was making him paranoid. "So, they have good food then, yes?"

"They do. Their soups are usually rather good." Lou leaned back slightly in his chair, his green eyes scoping out the cats around them.

((SOUP! XD I'm not sure Sonya is quite at that stage yet.))
Sonya nodded again, finally setting the menu down. "So, would you rather I call you Mr. Page or Lou?" he asked in his deep voice.

((yet))
"Lou, please. And you? What name do you prefer?"

((Yeah, for this, it's always *yet*))
Sonya shrugged and settled his bulk back into the seat, though making sure he could still get to his holster. "I would not mind Sonya," he said, not really caring one way or another. "What do you do with yourself, Lou?"

Lou shrugged. "This and that. I'm a trumpet player. You?" He seemed nonchalant enough in his tone and manner but was careful of his words.

Sonya shrugged his shoulders again, feeling a little uncomfortable with the title. "I just got promoted to Police Commissioner of Felidae."
