"Mother, father, an uncle," he said. He didn't really get along with any of them. His grandparents had both died a while ago, and secretly he was sure his grandmother passed away of a broken heart in 1917.

Sonya sighed as he glanced down at his watch. He should go into the station, he thought, not wanting to get up and leave. He really wanted another cup of coffee, and he enjoyed the other's somewhat quiet company. "I should go," he said. "They'll be expecting me."
