Coricopat thought, for what felt like the thousandth time, that he couldn’t believe he’d been forced to go to his sister of all cats for the position needed for Macavity’s gang. And now he was stuck showing her around The Démoniaque. His day just kept getting better. The second he found some cat to foist her upon he was leaving. He had more important things he should be doing, like finishing Jude the Obscure and making sure that the door to his office still locked and things like that. Frankly just about anything—short of the rack and he was beginning to think that was sounding inviting—would be preferable at the moment. “Is there anything specific you think you’ll need to know, Tantomile?”

As much as she despised her brother, Tantomile was actually feeling rather triumphant about all of this, and enjoying just how much it was irritating her Coricopat; it actually made putting up with his company for the afternoon worth it.
"Is there anything specific you think I ought to, Coricopat?"

I can think of several, but they aren't beneficial to your health, sister dear. The tom ahd sense enough not to say that, instead forcing a smile as he replied. "Don't go to floors twelve or thirteen without specific invitation, and avoid letting the valet take your car unless you want it parted out. Otherwise, just be your charming self, I'm sure everycat here will adore you." Coming from anyone else that might have been less sarcastic, but Coricopat had long ago perfected the level of sarcasm that needed to lace each word.

"Well obviously charm isn't everything, brother dear, after all, you've managed well enough here."
Sarcastic insults? Oh yes, two could play at that game just as well as one.
"And as valuable as I'm sure that information will be, I'm sure showing me the places here I'm most likely to be spending my time in would be more so still."

That sounded like a good idea, perhaps he could find somecat else interested in doing that.... "Of course." He motioned to the fire escape stairs. "After you, sister. We'll be heading up from here."

"A building this size and there isn't a lift?" Tanomile raised a single eyebrow at her brother, "If I didn't know you better I'd say you were doing this on purpose. Just how many floors exactly?"

"Thirteen, and the basement. We're on the second now and we either have to go down to the basement or use the stairs. I reccomend the stairs, fewer mazes."

Tantomile pursed her lips slightly, she'd had a feeling there would be a good reason for this, as much as she'd hoped otherwise. "Lead on then. No time like the present to begin learning my way around."

Coricopat stepped past his sister and out onto the fire escape, leading the way up several flights of the metal stairs, entering on the eighth floor and assuring the cat on guard duty there that Tantomile was cleared from here on in, though given his druthers he would have left her to her own devices for her following visits. "This is the floor where we keep most of the general papers, files on the workers and enemies, medical datum, etc."

Tantomile followed her brother up the stairs in silence, though her eyes were everywhere, taking in every inch of her surroundings. She placed the guard's face firmly in her mind as they went through.
"And who has access to those files?"

"Myself, Macavity, some of the higher-ups, you now. Oh, and that horse doctor Macavity has on the payroll." THe sneer in Coricopat's voice at the mention of the last one almost rivaled his contempt in referencing his sister.

It wasn't surprising Tantomile's curiosity was piqued at the mention of someone her brother clearly dispised, but she asked the important question first, "So everyone with access up here has equal access to all of the information kept here? Or would, for example, your doctor friend only have access to medical records but not legal files, and yourself perhaps the other way around?"

"I don't handle only the legal side, Tantomile so I have access to the rest of the files as well. As to what Cohen has access to I would say most things that pertain to the medical bit he ahs seen since he wrote them, but otherwise their vital statistics and things that are necessary for his treatment of them."
Zachariah Cohen stepped out of one of the far room, a file in hand which he was thumbing through as he made his way toward the service elevator. His grey ears tipped toward the sounds of voices and he grimaced slightly as he recognized the Assistant DA. Wonderful.

"That was an example," Tantomile sounded slightly snappish, irritated at her brother's authority here. "how limited or unlimited would my own access be?"
However, Tantomile's attention was caught by the tomcat leaving the far room, she didn't miss his clear distaste at her brother's presence.

"I would say that depends on what you actually need, sister mine." He looked up and frowned ever so slightly at the Russian Blue. "Cohen."
Ech, and he'd been so close to leaving unnoticed too... The doctor pasted on a smile, his golden eyes watching Tantomile from behind his glasses as he spoke to her brother. "Mr. Zimmerman. Good day to you."
"And you." The lawyer glanced at his sister. "I was wondering if youhad a few minutes to spare."
"If I do, why would I let you have them?"
Coricopat chose to ignore that. "Allow me to introduce my sister, Tantomile. Tanto, meet Zachariah Cohen, our resident horse doctor."
The doctor's eyes narrowed dangerously at that as he forced an almost polite smile. "Good to meet you, Miss."
