[Meadowlark]

The Russian hesitated but shook the offered paw again. "As that's the case, please call me Doc. Everycat else does, except that ublyudok lawyer."

"Then please feel free to call me Tantomile, Doc. 'Miss' makes me feel like a schoolteacher and Dr Zimmerman I tend to reserve for my clients." Tantomile offered Doc a bit more of a smile.

[Meadowlark]

"A pleasure, Tantomile. Now, is there anything specific I can help you with?" He offered her a ghost of a smile.

[amanika]

"Finding a way out of here would be a good start, I'm not yet familiar with this building," Tantomile admitted, "my dear brother was supposed to be showing me around, but as you can see, did his best to foist me off onto someone else at the first opportunity. However, I'd hate to put you out by expecting you to continue what he started, so if you'd kindly show me back to the main reception I'm sure I can find someone else or take my leave of this place."

[Meadowlark]

"I should get back to my patient, but as that requires leaving this floor as well then I don't mind showing you the way out. It will take a while to get accustomed to where everything is and where it goes. From this floor, and the 9th which is the ohter one that holds supplies and some files. You can take the fire escaped down or you can take the service lift. Personally I prefer the lift." He motioned down the hall indicating she should proceed him. "It takes you down to the basement, but it also doesn't leave you exposed on the side fo the building."

[amanika]

Tantomile nodded, "I think Coricopat chose the stairs on purpose. Should I ever need to go there, Cat forbid, which floor would I find his office on?"

[Meadowlark]

"He's on floor nine when he's in his office. He isn't usually though, so far as I can tell. If he's here and not in the office or doing other work I believe he has a room on the fourth floor, but I'm not certain of that. I generally avoid anywhere he might be." The russian blue shook his head. "If you'll pardon me for speaking frankly: your brother isn't all that well liked and honestly he's a complete bastard."

[amanika]

A smirk formed across Tantomile's face at Doc's last words, "I believe I can forgive you for that, it's nice to know that I share the opinion of the majority here then." another little smile, "I believe I might just get on here better than I first imagined."

[Meadowlark]

Doc arched an eyebrow at that comment, it hadn't been quite what he expected to hear, but something similar wasn't surprising to him. "May I ask why you feel that way, or is that too forward of me?"

[amanika]

"It's a long and complicated story," Tantomile explained, "safe to say we've not gotten on since before we finished school. Between yourself and I, I've not had much contact with him since I moved back to this city, I intended to keep it that way, but fate intervened."

[Meadowlark]

Doc chuckled dryly as he called the service elevator. "Fate is a fickle mistress...I believe that's the saying, da?"

[amanika]

Tantomile nodded, "I believe so, at any rate, this is as uncomfotable for him as it is for me, which almost makes it worth my while."

[Meadowlark]

"At least you should be able to avoide him most of the time." The older cat remarked idly as the doors of the lift opened.

[amanika]

"Mmm," Tantomile agreed, "though it wouldn't be the first time my work's crossed over with the DA's office, you can swing a verdict on a strong enough psycological profile."

[Meadowlark]

Doc nodded slightly, motioning to the lift to indicate her to go first. "I suppose that is true. You mentioned a private practice as well, yes?"
