"Like I said, I know it would make Mac happy," Tugger agreed, "he even offered t'loan me somethin' t'wear if..." Tugger trailed off, frowning at Munkustrap, "The bank?" Anything regarding the bank was useually bad news, yet Munkustrap didn't look that concerned.

There was a splutter whilst Tugger nearly choked on a mouthful of coffee, as he recovered, his expression darkened a little. "Mac did what?"

Munkustrap's eyes narrowed. "Well, what was I supposed to say, Tugger? He'd paid it before I got there. Was I supposed to go tell him 'thanks, but we'd rather you take back the money and let us eke by on what we've got'?"
