"Well, I hope y' find someone, if that's th' path y' wantin'," Jerrie offered, starting to think he really needed to just excuse himself and go home. It might be best if he didn't come back to the Chrysalis for a few weeks at least.

Turning back to him, Alonzo offered the torbie a warm smile. "Thank you, for that," he said, not adding he hoped somecat would eventually show Jerrie the benefits of a family.

Okay, it was official, he needed to leave. He was really not willing to deal with that smile, "Y'welcome. But I gotta be gettin' back home if I plan t' get sleep t'night."
