Tugger arched an eyebrow at his brother in question, though he was still scowling, "What?"

"Don't go out of your way to antagonize him. I'd like you in one piece." Munkus replied, picking up the casefile and sliding it into his briefcase.

Both Tugger's eyebrows shot up a little at that, momentarily surprised that his brother was actually admitting some affection for him. "I'm not entirely stupid y'know." his tone was slightly gruff, "But don't expect me to sit down an' take it if he starts on me again."

"Tugger. 'Starts on you' apparently has a different meaning to you than it does to me. Take it with a grain of salt and don't snap back!"

Tugger ran a paw lightly over the back of is head, "Just a bump, nothin' worse, you're overreacting."

Another shrug, "It don't take much to make someone pass out, it's been a long day an' I'm tired as well. Where y'gonna stick that?" he indicated the money on the table, "It can go towards food or housekeepin' or whatever, but I'll be damned if Deuteronomy gets his dirty hands on any of it."

"I need to go purchase groceries tomorrow anyhow." Munk replied as he gathered up the money, tallying it up and calculating if he'd need any more, pointedly ignoring Tugger's initial comment.

Tugger fingered the note he'd kept back in his pocket, "There enough there?"

"Yes, there's plenty. If we have any left I'll put it towards the utilities." THe tabby replied.

Tugger nodded, "Good, then I'm goin' out. Contrary to what you think I'm not stupid enough to be in when he comes back blind drunk."

"That's actually the best time to be in, as long as you're not in the room, but I'll see you later. Have a good night."Munk slipped from the room, heading upstairs.

"I'm not runnin' the risk that he'll be looking for me when he gets in. He's one for bearing a grudge." Tugger replied, grabbing his jacket and heading straight for the front door. "Night."
