Munkustrap's ears twitched in annoyance, his tail coiling and uncoiling around the leg of his chair as he began to gather the papers up again.

Backtracking wouldn't work at this point. The tabby spoke, keeping his tone level. "I work long hours to make sure to have the money to pay the bills and hopefully a little left over to repair the house. I haven't the time to clean it as well."

Old D continued to glare at him, though at least he was sober enough to think about what his son was actually saying. He huffed under his breath and turned back to his food.

Munkus finished gathering the papers together and closed the file, rising. He really needed to start staying at the office longer or retreating to his room sooner.
