Russell ran a hand through his hair as he looked over the vest he was working on. He tugged at the cloth that covered the mannequin with a disatisfied smile. It just didn't seem right, somehow. Perhaps another button? Maybe change the color of the undershirt...

Griddlebone Hollister entered the tailor's shop, her gaze flickering around the place, finding it a good deal overwhelming with the number of fabrics and styles arrayed.

Russell turned at the sound of the bells above the door chiming. Upon seeing the white queen enter, he smiled and made his way over. "Good Day, Mademoiselle," He purred and gave her a small bow. As he raised himself back into a standing position he swept his right arm in an arc, gesturing to the contents of the store. "Es there anything I can interest you en today?"

The white queen looked him over for a moment, considering the shopkeeper and his wares, "Actually, I'm in the market for a new dress."

"I can 'elp you with that, oui," He said and he pulled out his measuring tape. The torite looked over the queen and smiled, she had the perfect body type to work with. It would not be hard to flatter her figure. "Are you looking for an evening dress? Or per'aps for semi-casual occasions?" As he spoke his tail curled behind him.

"For day wear at the moment, thank you," she answered, eyeing the measuring tape.

The tortie smiled and wasted no time to hold up the measure when he caught her looking at it. "If I may?" He asked politely. After all a queen was no tom and needed to be treated with more respect. Russell always made it a habit to ask to measure the queens that walked through his door. Toms... not so much. They just had to deal with Russell's spontanious attitude.

Grids hesitated and then nodded, her tail swaying behind her, "Of course."

"That can certainly be done," He reflected as he went to wrap the measuring tape around her waist. "After I get your measurements I can show you some styles you might like, yes?"

"Good," He purred out as he got the last of the measurements. "You 'ave a wonderful figure, Miss." The tom bluntly stated the fact like he was remarking about the weather. "Very good for a wide variety of styles." Gesturing to a few mannequins, the tortie made his way over to his desk to bring back a few sheets of paper will some popular dress styles. "Es thar any that strike your fancy?"

"Ma'am," she corrected almost absently, though a soft smile played about her lips. She looked over the cuts and styles, not quite shaking her head but coming close. She really disliked the current trends. Finally finding a couple she could live with she slid the fashion plates back to him, indicating them.

"Ma'am," he corrected himself from her comment. Russel proceeded to take the papers from her and looked over her selections. With a nodd to himself, he set to work. Collecting a deep blue sample of silk cloth, he held it up for her inspection. "This color?"
