Coricopat watched them leave, a frown settling on his features before he made his way over to the receptionist desk to see about obtaining the bill. He skimmed over it, but simply folded it and slipped it into his pocket, assuring the cat at the desk that Mr. Quaxo would see to it. He considered before asking where the cat whose bill he'd just obtained was. Once he had the room number he made his way through the halls, tapping slightly on the open door before stepping inside and positioning himself so he was leaning against the wall next to the door.

Mistoffelees blinked at the other tom. "Well, you look better," he told Fayst.

Fayst's smiled wavered a little as he saw Coricopat. "Am I supposed to remember him, too?"
Slois blinked a little and looked behind him, a little worried at first, but was both relieved and annoyed to see that it was just the tom from before. As his tail gave a small flicker, he turned back to his twin with a shake of his head. "You don't know him."
Fayst shoulders settled in relief and gave a small sigh. "That's good," He said, but giving the new cat a curious look. "Then who are you?"

Coricopat ran down the list of ways he could introduce himself, and finally settled on the legally truthful one, "Coricopat Zimmerman, ADA. I'm a friend of Mistoffelees'."

Fayst was very good at reacting to the ADA part calmly; only a small flicker of his tail gave away his nervousness. "Oh, good to meet you," He said before introducing himself, even though it wasn't completely necessary. "I'm Fayst Tyme, but you probably already knew that."
Slois, on the other hand, was eyeing the lanky tom with renewed distrust. Leaning over to Mistoffelees, he kept a watchful look on Coricopat. "You didn't say he was the ADA," He whispered quietly.

"Because he's here as a friend," Mistoffelees replied, giving Coricopat a long look that implied he'd better back him up on this. "Not a lawyer."

Coricopat nodded his agreement, masking the pleasure he felt at the implicit threat that came with his position, "As Mistoffelees says, I'm here as a friend to help however he needs me to."

Slois still continued to eye Coricopat with caution, but didn't say anything to that.
Sensing his twins discomfort from looking at him, Fayst eagerly tried to change the topic. "When do you think they'll let me out?" He asked the trio, more to Mistoffelees, but if it got the other two's attention then all the better.

"Since you're dealing with a gun shot, one would hope more than three days in bed," Mistoffelees returned. "Besides, do you have anywhere to go, even when they let you out?"

Coricopat eyed Mistoffelees, opting not to ask what he would do if the answer to that question was 'no'. Not that the concern would need to be addressed for a while. Cohen certainly wouldn't let a gunshot victim out of the hospital for a couple of days.

Fayst pursed his lips and his tail flickered underneath the sheets. "I should have guessed as much," He said quietly, not too keen about being cooped up in a hospital. "Do you think-"
"No, you're staying here," Slois interjected sternly.
"I can-"
"No you can't-"
"Last time you-"
"Last time it was you-"
"That wasn't-"
"Yes it was."
Fayst threw his good arm up in defeat. "Fine, but where are you going to stay?" The tabby in the hospital bed countered.
Slois hesitated at that, realizing that it had boiled down to that question again. Now instead of Fayst answering it, the buck had been passed to Slois. Wonderful... "I have... somewhere," He answered weakly.
Crossing his arms with a small wince, Fayst frowned at his brother. "Oh really? And how long are you planning on spending sleeping in the hospital waiting area?"
Trust Fayst to figure him out. "You," Slois thrust a finger at Fayst. "Have no proof."
"Really?" Fayst looked over his brother with a cold look. "Just look at yourself."
Slois sighed and looked over his disheveled self. It was obvious he had not taken up the offer of the hotel room the night before. With a sigh, he tried to run a hand through his hair but winced as he once again caught his fingers on a knot. "Okay fine," He growled and crossed his arms as well. "So maybe I don't have somewhere to stay, right now anyway. I'll figure something out."

Taking a long breath, Mistoffelees glanced at his lover and back to the twins. "Do you even have any money? Since you couldn't even pay for the hospital bill."

The ADA glanced at his lover. Money could be offered, but he doubted any charity would be accepted. Not from the looks of the other two cats.

"We have some," Fayst answered this time, but seemed a bit reluctant to give the information. "Enough to hold us over until we get jobs."
Slois stood silently. Mentally, he corrected Fayst sentence: 'Maybe enough to hold us over until we get jobs.'

"You couldn't even afford a hotel last night," Mistoffelees protested. "Seriously now."
