Slois awoke slowly to the light filtering through the doors of the hospital. Around him was the muffled mutters of cats talking to each other, the soft ringing of phones going off in the distance, and the clacking of shoes on the tile flooring. Groggily, he lifted a hand to his head, trying to remember when he had fallen asleep. It didn't seem a likely place to rest, he was seated on the floor with his back leaning against the wall. It was hardly comfortable either because as the tabby moved he could feel stiff muscles complaining from the abuse. Well, despite the curious looks he got as he lifted himself onto his feet, he could have done worse.
Trying not to stretch out as visably as he would have liked, Slois came up to the counter to speak to the receptionist there. He laid his hands tiredly, but gently, on the edge of the top and fixed the queen with a worn, somber gaze.
"Is Fayst Tyme awake yet?"
The receptionist blinked at him for a moment before looking down at the papers. "I'm not sure but I can take you back to his room," She paused. "Are you a relative?"
The tabby gave a small grin at that question, clearly she had not been there when the quartet had made their entrance. "Yes," He said and gave a glance behind him. "But I'm waiting for someone. I'll go back when they get here."
The twins had been in hospitals on more than one occassion. If Fayst was awake, then there was no reason to worry. It was more like Slois to do something brash and stupid; his brother could wait a little if it meant that the ebony cat who would handle the finances of this adventure would soon arrive. Though he was eager to be reunited with his brother, Slois still had the manners to try to be present when the tom arrived.
((Would also like to point out that it isn't morning, but in the late afternoon. It wasn't the sun that woke him up, but just what he woke up to. This way it correlates with the thread 'Running a little behind'.))

Mistoffelees entered the hospital, having made sure to reach the door before Coricopat to avoid the other tom opening it for him. Instead, he made sure it remained propped open long enough not to hit him in the face and strode in. He stopped when he noticed Slois. "I would have expected you to be with your brother," he said, his paws in his pockets.

Coricopat caught the door, making sure he was a couple of steps behind Mistoffelees. It gave him just a moment longer to consider the cat the black tom was speaking to before he had to actually acknowledge him. The other looked like the sort who would be familiar with weapons, and the mottled tom was suddenly regretting his promise to Mistoffelees to leave his nail file in the car.

Slois turned to look over his shoulder at the pair entering the hospital. His tabby tail flickered a little at the sight of the taller mottled tom; he didn't really expect for Mistoffelees to bring someone else along. Turning around completely he offered a tired smile to the ebony tom.
"Just waiting," He explained with a shrug. "It would be rude to not at least have the decency to wait for you, considering how much of a hand you're lending here." As he spoke his eyes flickered to the other taller tom. The tom seemed like a dangerous sort, and Slois thought it would be best if he just kept his distance from this new cat, while keeping a keen eye on him, of course.

Mistoffelees nodded, turning slightly so that he was placed between the two toms. "Coricopat, this is Slois, Slois, this is Coricopat Zimmerman. He's..." Actually Mistoffelees could not quite figure out why his lawyer would be accompanying him to the hospital. "A friend," he finished lamely.

Slois now gave the cat before him a full look over. The introduction hardly gave him anything except a name, but he filled it away in his mind. Reaching out a paw for the other to shake, the tall tabby offered a small, but cautious smile. With his brother somewhere in the hospital behind him, he hardly had the energy to be friendly. It took too much effort. "Nice to meet you."

Coricopat's grey gaze apprised the other cat with thinly veiled dislike. If what he thought had happened had happened there was going to be more bloodshed, but he had no real evidence of it. His grip was tight as he shook the taller cat's paw. The ADA smiled thinly, "Charmed I'm sure."

Glancing between them, Mistoffelees swallowed. "So, is your brother doing alright?"

Slois squeazed the paw back just as tightly. The stern look in Coricopats eye and his bonebreaking grip was enough to tell the tabby that the feeling of dislike was mutual. His smile looked a little strained for a moment before he let it and his paw drop. With a flickering tail he looked back over to Mistoffelees. "I haven't been back to see him. You can come if you like."

The mottled tom slipped his paw into his pocket, his other gripping the top of his walking stick. He glanced at Mistoffelees and then back at Slois, still far from impressed with the entire situation.

"Oh, I," Mistoffelees floundered a moment, aware of just what Coricopat's expression was implying. "I'm not sure. I think they should have the finalized payment ready for me after having actually looked at the wounds."

Slois gave a small nod, noticably ignoring the presence of Coricopat for now. "If you want to settle that then I'm going back to see him." He took a few steps towards the receptionist's counter to tell the nurse there he would like to go back. As she started to gather herself to take him back, Slois gave Mistoffelees an expectant look, asking: Are you coming or staying?

"He seems so very charming..." Coricopat murmured under his breath, his ears tilting back beneath his hat. "If you feel the need to check on his brother I can obtain the bill and then join you," his tone indicated displeasure with that thought, but he had offered, if nothing more.

"And don't you look thrilled at the idea," Mistoffelees murmured. "But I'm taking you up on it anyway." Brushing his paw lightly across the other's, he turned to follow Slois.

After fixing Coricopat with a guarded look, Slois let himself be lead further into the hospital. They went down a few hallways before they came to the door where the nurse said he was in. After she left, the tabby hesitated just for a moment before he opened the door.
All Slois's fears were for naught because Fayst was sitting up in the bed, wide awake, much to his attending nurses displeasure. The tabby cat blinked before turning to look at his entering visitors, and gave them both a warm, friendly smile. "What took you so long? I've been awake forever," He teased.
Slois's shoulders immediately relaxed after seeing his twin, and an identical smile went to light up his face. "I do have manners, you know," The tabby reminded his brother. "You remember Mistoffelees, right?" He gestured to the short tom in question.
"Of course," Fayst's smile didn't drop an inch as he fixed Mistoffelees with a kind look. "How couldn't I not remember him?"
