"That's tough," He commented slowly and glanced at the other tom. "But you don't seem that broken up about it so I can asume that the feeling was mutual."

"He kicked me out of the house by throwing a paperweight at my head," Mistoffelees replied, voice soft. Which was hardly the worst his uncle had ever done for him, but considering the murder had never been solved he certainly wasn't going to tell a stranger anything more.

Slois winced as though the paperweight had just been thrown at him. "Ouch," He said simply, and looked down for a moment before looking back up to where he was going. There was just something about this stranger sharing his past that made him want to leak out his own. "I don't have anything to complain about my own family, other than they were controlling." It began simple enough. "We didn't like it, so we ran. We were just teenagers who didn't want to be told what to do, we didn't know any better. One thing lead to another and..." His finger traced the long scar from his shoulder to his hip, the mark of his gang. "And our parents were killed right before our eyes." The tracing finger dropped to his side and he let out a small cough. It was odd sharing the things that were never spoken of between him and his twin; it was so strange to say it out loud in the open.

"Mine died when I was five," he replied, not looking at the other tom. "My uncle was too distant to be controlling, most of the time. But there was no love." Pausing he glanced up. "I'm sorry for yours." He stopped, looking up at the building. "This is mine."

"We can be equally sorry for each other," He suggusted with a small smile. The tabby came to a stop just after Mistoffelees did; Slois gave the building before him a glance before looking over at the ebony cat. "I can come in and help you with that hand; it's only fair because I caused it. I understand if you don't want me to come in though..." To be honest the twin probably would not have been as half as generous if the roles had been switched. It made him feel a little guilty. Idly his tail gave a flicker as he thought there sure was a whole lot of guilt floating around that night.

"No, I'm fine," he returned. "Thank you though, but you should get back to your brother. I'll come by after my morning appointments, if you like."

"Sure, that would be good," Slois agreed and looked at the building one last time before offering Mistoffelees one more half-apologetic, half-genuine smile. "I should get going. I'll see you then." With a polite nod, Slois turned around to walk the same way he came to make it back to the hospital where his brother was staying.

Watching him go, Mistoffelees shook his head before making his way upstairs and washing out his paw before crawling into bed.
