He nodded, though he of course he was still far too jittery to do so yet. Kissing the top of her head again, he dropped his arms and motioned for her to go to bedroom. "We'll fiigure out unpackin' and everythin' in the mornin'," he said quietly. "I don't think I could sleep yet though."

She nodded slightly, offering him a faint smile before leaning up to kiss him briefly, "Alright, I'll be there when you come to bed."

Macavity sat at his desk for a while yet, trying to turn things around in his mind, accept the fact that she was actually there, but more so to figure out the fact that he might well become a father. Soon. Somehow that was never an idea that occurred to him would happen.
He went through almost an entire ashtray of cigarettes, crushing several the more he thought of his own father. Finally, he rose and slipped into the bedroom, curling himself around Griddlebone. Things would have to come, but for now, he had this.
