A smile flickered across his face as he took her paw and led her to the lift. He paused, turning back. "Was there somethin' you wanted ta tell me earlier?" he asked.

They finally reached the thirteenth floor and entered the penthouse. Grids set her bag down and paused, considering, "I..." She drew a deep breath and turned to face him.

Macavity wasn't pleased with how much space there was between them, but leaned against the desk, crossing his arms and watching her.

For a long moment he did not react at all, simply staring at her in shock. He was very glad he was actually leaning against the desk or else he might not have managed to stay upright.
