Coricopat reached his car outside the police station. The red Packard had thankfully been untouched the night before. Cori glanced at Mistoffelees as he got in the car, "Well, that went well."

"Surprisingly," Misto replied, sliding into the car. "So... should we go to the mansion?" he asked, not much sounding thrilled with the idea.

"I..." Misto took a deep breath, another one, and finally shook his head. "No I'll be fine, thank you." He could do something that simple right? It wasn't like he didn't know all the people there after all.

"Will you? I can stay if you would like, but I would like to get a look at some of Jones' papers before that sticky-fingered Police Commisioner gets them." He turned toward the road that would take them to the Jones mansion.

"Yeah," Misto said. "Should be enough time to do... whatever needs to be done." In fact, probably too long. But he'd make it one way or another.

Coricopat pulled up in front of the mansion a short time later, "Alright, take care, I'll see you soon."

"Alright," Misto said and took a deep breath. "Be careful," he said, glancing back to Coricopat in all seriousness. "I'll see you soon," he added, finally opening the door to slip out, wincing when his ribs protested.

Misto glanced back when he saw the other reach forward slightly and offered him a grin. "I'll be alright. And, thanks."

"Of course." He waited until the other had stepped away from the car before pulling away. This was going to be tricky, but he needed to find as many of the papers that would keep the Palace and funds out of Misto's paws before the police did. It should be doable.
