The queen set the plate in the sink with the others, she'd deal with them later. Stepping past Tugger with the pail and rag in paw she headed over to the front windows, calling over her shoulder. "I hope you don't mind if I keep up a conversation while we work. It's rare enough that cats are here during off hours."

"Not at all," Tugger replied as he dunked the mop in the bucket, just remebering to wring it out against the drainer before he started on the floor, "I'm a pretty social cat myself."

"Good, cause I don't know what I'd do if you didn't care for it." She laughed lightly. "So, you got a family?"

Tugger nodded, "Of sorts, though bein' related to cats ain't everything."

She nodded her understanding of that. "Family don't have to be blood-related."

"Mine are," Tugger affirmed, "but sometimes I wish they wern't. But I know what you mean as well."

Tugger gave a chuckle at that, "Not precisely, I'm not much of a one gal guy."

She nodded. "I see. Well, now that I've done some prying I suppose it's only fair if you wish to." SHe glanced over her shoulder at him as she scrubbed at the window.

Tugger shrugged, dunking the mop back into the bucket and pausing to look at Griddlebone for a moment. "Depends what you wanna tell me," he said finally, "I'm here to work, no pry into other cat's lives if they don't want it."

"Well said. I admit my curiosity tends to get the better of me sometimes. Not much to tell really. Grew up down here near the docks, work for the owner of this joint and spend my time with him when he's on shore."

Tugger shook his head, "I don't me you askin' me, wouldn'tve told you if I didn't want to. But if you're not so keen, I'm not gonna press you. Besides," he added, "sounds like a reasonable existance. The owner would be your fella then?"

"I wouldn't have offered you the chance to ask questions if I was against it, Tiger." She responded before nodding. "Yeah, he is." A smile graced her rouged lips as she returned her attention to the window frame.

Tugger didn't miss the smile, "Must be something pretty special."

"He is." She replied simply. "He saw me in ways no tom had, and got me the job here. No way I would be managing a place of any sort otherwise."
