Tantomile finished scribbling something from her notebook onto a seperate sheet and slipped it inside a file, which she closed and put to one side. She took out her diary, frowning for a moment at the name of her next appointment, before opening the door to the neighboring room, a sort of reception come waiting area for her clients.
"If you'd like to come in, Mr Hollister."

Munkustrap really did hate coming uptown, cats grew more pretentious the further that direction one traveled. Well, with the exception of Mac. He rose, offering her a smile and entering, "Thank you for finding the time, Dr. Zimmerman."

Tantomile offered a smile in return, though it was a little cautious, her eyes already reading his face, her secretary hadn't been able to give her much information on his call, altough she knew he wanted to talk to her in regard to a court case, rather than as one of her clients. "It's not a problem," she closed the door behind them and motioned him to the seat opposite her desk, rather than the couch or chairs on the other side of the room, stepping back around to return to her own seat.
"What can I do for you? I understand you wanted to see me with regards to a certain court case, is that correct?" she could hazard a guess at which court case just from what she'd heard and read in the news, but she'd wait for him to confirm it.

He nodded, "I'm almost certain I can make the case for insanity without a professional diagnosis, but it would be of great help. I'm currently working on the Brachen Myre case, and was hoping to get your professional opinion."

The tall queen nodded, taking out her notebook and turning to a fresh page. "I had a feeling it might be that one. You've been assigned as his defence I presume?"

"As my job is a defense attorney, that would be a reasonable assumption, but no I wasn't assigned. I was hired."

Tantomile arched an eyebrow at that, "By Mr Myre?" it was none of her business, nor was it likely relevant to his request, but he had mentioned it and now she was curious, because she had a feeling she already knew the answer.

"Attorney-client privilege dictates that I can't really tell you that."

"Of course," she gave him a slightly thinner smile, "forgive my curiosity. But back to the case in hand, what precisely is it you would like me to do for you?"

"I would like you to meet Mr. Myre and testify as to your findings and opinions in court. Of course you'll be paid for the consultation." He replied, evenly.

Tantomile nodded, "That certainly sounds viable, of course, you will have to accept my findings regardless of if they support your case or not. Although then it is of course up to you if you choose to use them. However, given what I've heard on this case, I would imagine there might well be evidence to support an insanity plea. As long as you also realise that, this being the case, if sought by the prosecution, my professional reccomendation would have to be that he should be committed to an aslyum. Mental disturbance may render loss of responsibility for actions, but it doesn't make an individual any less dangerous."
She was writing fast as she spoke, eyes flicking from the page and back to Munkustrap's again.

He smiled thinly at her in response. "I didn't figure out this plea yesterday. I know what a jury or judge determining the accused insane equates to. In the end it's up to the jury for the conviction and the judge for the sentencing. I will see if your testimony is needed at the time that I get it."

"Well I'm glad we are of the same understanding," her tone was clipped, "I prefer to make my terms clear regardless of your own prior knowledge."

"Always a good idea. When can I expect your findings and how much will my firm owe you?"

"When you recieve my findings depends on when I may be permitted access to assess Mr Myre's condition. As for fees, I'll have my secretary get back to you on the matter." she wanted to consider what she charged carefully, the last thing she needed in a case like this was any suggestion of bribary for her testimony, if he was asking her to name her own fee.
