"Access to Myre is something I'm sure can be arranged by tonight. Just have your secretary contact our offices." He rose, "Thank you for your time."

She continued writing for a moment, before closing the book with a snap and also getting to her feet. "Of course, I'll be sure to do that, and please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of further assistance." she offered him her hand to shake across the desk, "Good luck with your defence Mr Hollister." her expression was unreadable.

He shook her hand, offering her a bit of a smile again, "Thank you, Dr. Zimmerman." The silver tabby slipped out, heading back to his office.

Tantomile rose to see the silver tabby to the door, glancing at the clock as she did so to check how much time she had before her next client was due. She followed him into the reception area where she informed her secretary that she wasn't to be disturbed. Then, closing the door behind her, she returned to her desk and dialed the number for the ADA's office.

Coricopat looked at the phone, his ears laying back in annoyance. He really needed to remember to take the phone off the hook on days like this. He picked it up after a moment, "Zimmerman."

Tantomile was somewhat relieved to have got straight through to her brother, if she'd got his secretary or anyone else he'd probably have found any excuse to not talk to her. "Hello Cori."

He paused for a long moment, just staring at the phone and considering hanging it up again. He was buried in work and she called now? "Hello, Tantomile."

"Before you stop me, I do have a reason for calling." she swallowed slightly, "I've just had a visit from Munkustrap Hollister, the defence for the Myre case."

He nodded slightly, knowing she couldn't see him. Good, Hollister was doing as he should. "And?"

"It looks like I'll be making an assessment shortly and assuming he goes for the insanity plea, I'll be giving a testimony." she paused for a moment, "Pending my assessment, Hollister didn't tell me much else," she bit her lip for a second, "but I'd done my research, so I know at least what's been released on the case. However, I presumed the defence had been assigned, Hollister happened to mention he was hired." she let the sentance hang, wondering if her brother would pick up on the suspicions she was looking for an answer to, and whether or not he'd give her one if he did.

"That is the normal procedure after all. He's not junior enough to be assigned by the courts, and we do in fact have public defenders in this city. So, yes, he was hired." Coricopat was not answering unasked questions today, he was tired, buried in work and worried for his friend.

On the other hand, he hadn't hung up on her either, "You know what I mean." She replied shortly, "So you are the prosecution and Macavity's brother is the defence, would it therefore not be a reasonable assumption on my behalf that he might be involved in this in some way?" a pause, "Feel free to disagree, I'm just asking."

"It might be a reasonable assumption, but I don't see that it's your concern to know one way or the other." Coricopat replied, again considering hanging up.
((Fixed the typo in the last one. Brain needs to wake up still....))

"Because if he is, I'd rather like to know what position that puts me in." Tantomile admitted, "and with both the prosecution and defence with conncetions to Macavity, it would help me greatly if I knew what side he might be batting for. I can't give anything other than my honest professional reccomendation in this case, it's far too high profile."

"I love how you automatically assume we're both 'batting' for him as you so delicately put it. And I wouldn't expect less than your professional recommendation. Anything less would be perjury. As to what position it puts you in? The same you already were in. Examine the defendant and give your statement. If you're asked to give recommendation on the stand you can, if you aren't you can't."
