Jerrie nodded, knowing that his friend would try at least. What more could a cat ask? He pulled the truck to a stop moments later in a back alley about a block from the docks where he was expected. "Alright, here we go."

Tugger nodded, suddenly a little nervous, he checked his apperance in the rear view mirror, pulling a face as he did so, he hated how he looked in a suit jacket. "Should I ditch the jacket?" he asked Mungo quickly, "Be honest."

His friend chuckled, nodding. "Any work you'll be doing here is better done without the jacket anyhow. You'll shed it eventually anyway, might as well ditch it now."

Tugger grinned, shucking the jacket quickly on to the seat "Should I chuck the vest as well?" he didn't want to appear too formal, and he was glad of the informality, it made him feel at ease, "I think it's too much of Munk's influence."

"Never expected your brother t' have that much influence on y' appearance, but yeah. Y' workin' not seein' a gal. Vests and jackets'll just get in th' way."

Tugger laughed, "I wouldn't wear these if I was seeing a gal anyway." the vest went quickly onto the truck seat with the jacket as well. "And hell, I'd ditch everything if it'll aid the job," a thoughtful pause before he added hopefully, "your boss ain't a woman by any chance?"

"The one in charge of The Fishbone is, but we'll see if we need t' go by there." Jerrie chuckled. "Y' welcome t' try y' luck with her, but she's pretty set in her ways and about who she's interested in s'far as I can tell."

"Oh?" Tugger arched an eyebrow at the other tom, smirking slightly, "I like a challange." a pause, "Or is she the kind of gal to sock me in the face if she thinks I'm being too charming, or get her guy to do it?"

Jerrie shrugged. "She seems pretty laid back about flirtation. Her fella's not around much, or I'd warn y' t' be careful around 'im. She might not slug ya, but he may just."

Tugger nodded, "Warning taken. I'd like to keep my face the shape it is." he grinned at Mungo, "I guess we should go then, now I look presentable."

Jerrie stepped down from the truck, closing the door and slipping hte keys in his pocket. "Yeah, c'mon, jus' some basic work 'round th' docks then I'll see 'bout introducing you at the Fishbone 'round noon."

"Works for me." Tugger glanced at his wrist watch, momentarily surprised at how far away noon still was, but he followed Mungo's example nonetheless, slamming the passenger door behind him and following the other tom across the dockyard.

Jerrie scanned the dockside for viable work, his eyes lighting on a boat he was usually able to get some work from. He lead the way over, stepping nimbly around the crates and nets scattered haphazardly along the quay.

Tugger followed Mungo closely, he was much less familiar with the area and, for once, was happy to let someone else take the lead.

Jerrie reached the boat and introduced Tugger, checking to see if the captain had any work for the two toms. The reply was affirmative and mostly just involved the loading and unloading of some cargo, it wasn't much but it should take most of the morning and the pay would be decent.
