If Honey hadn't been used to such environments she might have found the silence and quiet of The Chrysalis during the day quite strange. The place had a sadder look she thought, than at night when it was busy with cats and music, but as she did with any space that offered her a chance of the limelight, Honey felt drawn to it.
There was no tom on the door this early, but, finding it not locked, she presumed with her arrival in mind, she headed in and after looking around for Lou, but finding no-one took a seat at one of the tables. It was a little before three anyhow, so she was content to wait.

Lou's ears twitched at the sound of the door. He emerged from the back room, glancing toward the young queen. He was tired, God was he tired, but work had to be done, and this audition did too. He offered her a smile. "Good afternoon, Miss Haynes."

She got to her feet, coming to greet Lou as he approached, offering a handshake, "Please Mr Page, call me Honey."

Lou's brow rose, not commenting on how much of an endearment he considered that word. "Well, we're just about set for the audition."

The blonde queen nodded, pushing back a strand of headfur that slipped over her eye as she did so. "I've got my music and I'm all warmed up. Ready when you are. I bought two songs, a ballad and something a little more upbeat. Both Jazz, though I can sing other styles if you prefer."

As if on cue, Jack's head appeared through the door, big grin on his face. "Hey, Lou, did you need a pianist?" he asked, and took a step in through the door, so the rest of him came into sight.

Lou looked up, nodding, "Yeah, Jack, that would be why I called you in so early." He glanced at Honey, "This is a Jazz club, Miss, so yes, Jazz will be fine."

Honey bit her lip a little at Lou's reply, clearly he thought her somewhat empty-headed. She didn't let it phase her further than that though, it just meant she'd have to work harder to prove him wrong.
Her blue eyes flicked to the tomcat who'd just entered, she vaguely recognised him as another member of the club's house band. Honey offered him a smile, though didn't introduce herself just yet, waiting to see if he would do so first, or if Lou would offer anything, she had a feeling her forward attitude was rubbing the older tom the wrong way somewhat.

Jack nodded and closed the door behind him, then walked over to the two cats. He flashed the queen his most winning smile, and inclined his head slightly as form of greeting. "Hullo. I'm Jack, I'll be the one by the piano while you show us what you've got," he said cheerfully.

Honey gave Jack another smile, "Lovely to meet you. I'm Honey. I guess you'll be needing these." she handed him a copy of her music.

"Pleasure's all mine," Jack said, still smiling, then nodded and took the sheet music, looking them over.

Lou sighed very slightly, it wasn't in the least that he thought she was empty-headed, but he had been rather hoping she knew what sort of band she was auditioning for. The only thing she would have to prove was whether or not she would work with the band. He opened his mouth to introduce the two younger cats but was cut off by Jack. Dandy, this was off to a smashing start.

Honey knew exactly what sort of band she was auditioning for, that was why she had prepared jazz numbers, but she never thought it hurt to make it known that she was versatile. Obviously Lou hadn't taken it that way though, so she wasn't going to press the matter.
After another nod to Jack, Honey turned her attention back to Lou, "I'm ready when you both are."

Normally he would have paid more heed to that, but at the moment he was interested in her Jazz singing, not anything more. Lou nodded, motioning for her to go ahead. "Whenever you and Jack are set."

Honey nodded to Lou, then glanced back over at Jack, waiting to take her cue from him.
