Macavity arrived early as he tended to, settling into the table that was reserved as his, back to the wall and able to see the majority of the other tables from where he was sitting. He pulled out a cigarette, aimlessly flipping through the menu before leaving it open in front of him. Glancing around again, he considered the crowd and wondered how early he had arrived in relation to his guest.

Genghis had never been one to go into the idea of being 'fashionably late' in fact, he'd been brought up to consider it as a great disrespect to host. If he were ever late, he always had a reason, even if that reason was to purposely cause offence.
In this case, however, the Siamese cat made his way up to the Demoniaque's restaraunt around ten minutes before the proposed time, pausing just out of view of the doorway to smooth his cream silk tie, complimenting his own colouring today with a brown suit and vest with a delicate pinstripe pattern. Satisfied with his appearance, he made his way inside and approached the maître d’ to introduce himself as Mr Hollister's guest, unsure if his host would be there yet.

Mac noticed his entrance, and when the maitre d' turned to look in his direction, the ginger tabby nodded at him, watching as the Siamese was led over. Inclining his head in greeting, he considered the other. "Mr. Morgan," he murmured. "'lad you could make it." '

It didn't take long for Genghis' gaze to find the ginger tabby when the maître d’ tuned, and as they approached he gave Macavity a cordial smile, nodding back at the greeting and offering his paw for a handshake. "A pleasure to meet you again Mr Hollister, the invitation to do so is most appreciated on my part."

"Of course," Mac replied, shaking the other's paw. "Do take a seat," he nodded again and the maitre d' left. He paused for a moment, considering the other again.

Genghis nodded his thanks to the maître d’, before taking Hollister's offer and sitting down. "It's quite the establishment you run here. The more I see the more I find to be impressed by."

Mac grinned and managed to stop himself from preening at that. "Thankee," he replied, flipping through the menu in front of him again. "I'm rather proud of the place myself, and it's always nice ta hear."

Genghis nodded again, "A fitting testiment to a position hard earned I'm sure." he picked up the menu from his own place, eyes scanning the list of starters, "I've heard good things about dining here, though it's the first time I've had chance to take the opportunity."

Mac inclined his head, considering the changes made to the menu again before moving his attention away from it again. "Well earned indeed," he murmured. "And oh, have you heard good things? That's always reassurin'."

"I have," Genghis agreed, "though I was somewhat intrigued by the recent article in the Tribune." his expression was one of amusement.

Mac blinked at the word choice. "Intrigued?" he asked, having not seen it though he remembered giving permission at some point for some kind of interview.

"Aparrently something concening the seving of milkshakes and cucumber sandwhiches...." Genghis's tone suggested he was well prepared to believe the article was an exaggeration or even pure fantasy.

For a long second Mac didn't say anything, considering if the cook needed to be fired over that or not. Honestly, probably not, but perhaps a conversation with him and Coricopat wouldn't go amiss. "Oh really? Well, there are worse things in the world ta like."

Genghis laughed, "Indeed there are, besides I confess I'm rather dissapointed to find neither actually listed on the menu, I rather like it when customers can see a personal touch in the business. In this case I suspect some would order just for the novelty value of sampling the owner's favourites."

His mouth twitched after a moment. "Well, I think the cucumber sandwiches should be buried in the menu somewhere, whereas the milkshakes are somethin' a cat has to ask for. Kind of like knowin' where ta ask for certain things in this time... a underworld of milkshakes," he said, jokingly, waggling his brows slightly.
