Mac led the way into the third floor dining area, nodding at the host and walking right past the "Please Wait to be Seated" sign. He owned the place, he could chose whatever table he wanted. So he picked one out in the corner, where he could keep his back to the wall and still see the entrance, as well as the street below.

Tugger followed his eldest brother in silence, feeling a little less comfortable now they were out of the confines of Macavity's office, and feeling the eyes of other diners, there for their Christmas lunch, on him, not just because of his appearance but also because he was with Macavity. He relaxed a little when they sat down, glad his brother had chosen a corner, which felt a little more private, unaware of any other benefits of doing so.

((Well, that's also because Tugger's back *is* facing the door while Mac's is not and he can see everyone else. Mac, paranoid? Neeeever))
Mac nodded at the head waiter as they came over with menus. Once the other had departed, he opened it up, scanning it quickly though he knew most of the menu by heart. "And don't worry about prices," he said to Tugger mildly.

Tugger nodded, taking his time to read the menu, partly because a lot of the dishes were unfamiliar, and although he'd got much better since his schooldays, he was never going to be the fastest of readers. He was none the more sure what he wanted by the time he'd finished anyway, though possibly a little more confused.
"I ain't got a clue what half of this is," he admitted finally, ears and tail curling just a little, "anythin' you'd mebbe' reccomend?"

Mac glanced up and shrugged. "Well, the third dish on the second page, of which name I am not attemptin' ta say is good."

Tugger couldn't help but grin a bit at that, knowing his brother was, in some ways at least, still as 'uncultured' as him. "Well if you ain't attemptin' t'say it, no way I am, so jus' how would we go about orderin' it?"

"You point at it and tell them it's what you want," Mac replied with a grin.

Tugger actually laughed at that, "Well you can order first." he decided, closing the menu and settling a little into his seat."

Mac was still grinning, and he signaled the waiter over. He enjoyed how they came when he beckoned them. "I would like one of these please," he said, pointing to an item off the menu. The waiter nodded, clearly not expecting anyone to really know how to say the dishes correctly.

Tugger grinned as he watched Macavity order, before sidestepping the process himself by simply saying, "I'll have the same."

Mac laughed at that, causing the waiter to give him a long look before scurrying off. "Well then," Mac said, leaning back in the chair.

Tugger grinned back at his brother, suddenly feeling rather glad he'd decided to come here today after all. He didn't know which of the two of them was more relaxed, but he was feeling a lot more comfortable than the last time he'd been here.

"Glad you seem more relaxed this time," Mac said after a moments thought. "So how have you been?"

Tugger shrugged dismissively, "Well I may as well get used to the place if I've gotta come t'this ball of yours. I've bin' fine, nothin' really t'tell there."

Mac grinned broadly at that, leaning back a bit further. "Well, I'm glad you decided ta come."
