"Damn," he said, leaning back and taking a sip of coffee, actually grinning. "Whatever shall I do with my life without free apple pie?" He considered the other part of that statement. Well, being a good costumer was usually a good thing.

Sonya arched a brow at that. "Well, you will just have to let me know what shifts you are working then," he said and blinked at his own reply. That was a little... forward. But he had not enjoyed talking to a queen like this in... a very long time.

Teazer did blush a little at that, "Well it all depends, changes week t'week. I don't do anythin' later than the dinner shift if I can help it, my brother kinda' insists on that. But tomorrow, f'example, I'm on a split shift, doin' the early breakfast one, then I'm off until the dinner shift."

If he was watching, he might have seen her tense up briefly at that question. "No." the answer was closed and she pushed the conversation on quickly, "What about you?"

He had been watching and frowned ever so slightly before shrugging. "Mother and a father growing up, and my grandparents were a big part of my childhood. Mom died several years ago though," and he had still not spoken to his father since then. He had gotten a rather stilted letter of congratulations in the mail though on becoming Commissioner. "My grandparents both passed away in the last few years as well." He also had an ex-wife, but that was not strictly speaking family.
