Sonya managed not to storm into the cafe this time, but he was curious to see if Teazer would have another shift that day. Not only was he feeling the need for coffee, but he wanted to be able to thank her for the apple pie the night before.
He found a small table to the side, as it was the end of the lunch rush and most people were starting to file out.

Teazer was working, the same shift as the last time, which meant, providing the girl who was due in next actually showed up today, she would be getting off her shift in the next fifteen minutes or so. For now, however, she was taking various bills and orders to the tail end of the lunch rush, moving swiftly from table to table and in and out of the kitchen, still busy enough not to notice Sonya right away.

Sonya settled down in his chair, looking around the cafe. After the first time, he never came in during the actual lunch rush, usually hitting it shortly afterwards or just after the dinner rush. He liked the small cafe more when there were not so many people. He noticed Teazer was on shift again, but was willing to wait rather than try and call her over.

When Teazer eventually did make her way over to take Sonya's order, she was still very much in busy 'customer service mode' and for a second didn't clock the cat she was talking to, "Afternoon sir, what can I get you?"

Sonya chuckled at that, having been in a mental space similar in the past and recognizing it. "A pot of coffee would always be nice," he said. "And maybe a sandwich."

"No problem," Teazer scribbled the order on a notepad, "milk and..." she cut off as she finally registered who she was talking to. "I'm sorry, I was in another world then," she blushed faintly, "it's uh, nice to see you again."

He inclined his head, smiling faintly. "It is nice to see you as well. And more than understandable, you would not like to see me try and talk to people at the station some nights. It is very easy to become focused on one's work."

Teazer felt her tail twitch at the reminder of what he did, but she ignored it, "It's been busy lunchtime," she admitted, "quite glad t'say I get off in ten minutes.

He nodded. "Have you been here since the morning shift again?"

Teazer nodded, "Mmmhmm. Can't complain though, it's better than workin' a split shift."

Inclining his head, Sonya looked her over. "Has your replacement at least shown up today?"

Teazer nodded, "Yeah, she got in a couple minutes ago. So looks like you're my last customer today."

He smiled a bit at that. "Ah. Well, I am honored to be so then."

"Thank you." she offered him a tired smile, "Speakin of, I'd better put your order in. Was it just the coffee and sandwhich?"

"Yes please," he said nodding. "And since you are getting off your shift soon, I wanted to make sure to thank you for the apple pie. It... was very much appreciated."
