Mistoffelees tracked the waiter before tuning back to her. "So, how does it feel to be married to Macavity Hollister anyway?" He didn't quite come out and say he couldn't imagine the other married.

"I'm glad," he replied. "As much for my sake as yours or his honestly. I would not want to try and do business with him at the point it stopped. That sounded self-serving, and I didn't quite mean it too. But..." he paused. "He's changed, since you showed up. And more so recently. Not entirely of course, he's still Macavity but... I think it's been good for him."
