The commissioner almost did not turn at the sound of his name--especially not when said like that. He really wished he could blame long hours and coffee for how his heartbeat turned over again and he was done with this entirely.
Turning on his heel, eyes narrowed he nearly swore when he saw his wallet in the other's paws. Striding back, he snatched it back, glowering. "Is that everything?"

Escept for the small fact that stubborn Russell still held onto the wallet and was pulled along with it whe Sonya jerked it back. The tortie let out a small, barely audible gasp as his arm was jerked roughly. Talking a few ungraceful steps forward, the tortie nearly bumped into the taller tom. Looking at those glowering eyes, Russell's own heart rate sped up and suddenly Sonya wasn't alone in his discomfort of trying to stifle those feelings. "Yes," He breathed.

Sonya's eyes widened and he counted, slowly, in his head to remind himself they were in a cafe, he had an image to keep, and this had gone on long enough. "Will you let go then?" he asked, voice still low, nearly a rumble in his throat.

Russell's fingers one by one let go of the wallet. "Sure," His voice was the gentle yet almost dangerous tone again. Only this time, he had no control over it at all. He inwardly told himself that he could be caught doing something illegal in public. He suddenly froze as one of his paws had gone to reach for Sonya. The paw hovered just inches away from his chest. Restraint... He had to have restraint.

Sonya pocketed the wallet quickly, checking while his paw was there that it contained everything else it was supposed to. He remained where they were for another heart beat before stepping back again.
This time he did not even bother with a good day, just turning to leave.

This time the slender tom said nothing as the other left. It was better. This wa hardly the place or time- Russell himself took it outside the boundries of his plan. It was just supposed to be winning the tom over some, but it turned into Russell ready the pounce on the other tom then and there.
He took a couple step foward from loosing his balance as Sonya was suddenly just not there. As his tail began to unwind from his leg, Russell tried to put away the other's checkbook into his pocket as casually as possible. The booklet would be helpful... Valentines was coming soon, after all

Sonya did not actually head back to the station, pacing several blocks around it before his heart rate calmed enough for him to get back to work.
The hell had that even been?
