"It was closed," Mistoffelees said and sighed. "I'll see you soon." With that he put the phone back in it's cradle and stepped tentatively back toward the tom. "A doctor is on his way."

Slois was huddled near his brother in a very feminely tight ball, hands pressing down on the shoulder despite the rest of his pose. The position made him so volunerable looking and scared where he had seemed fearless before. His pulled back ears gave a small flick as he heard Mistoffelees approach but it wasn't for a few moments after the black tom spoke that he raised his head. Almost reluctantly the tom tore his eyes away from his brother, his hands not leaving Fayst for a moment, and looked up at the tom.
"How fast can he get here?" He asked a bit weakly, his voice much more subdued than it was before.

"Minutes," Mistoffelees replied. "He sounded like he was on the way out the door and he knows how to get places quickly. He's not the type to take long," he glanced down at the pair. "Can I do anything?"

If Slois's ears could have gotten any flatter, they did. Hesitating, he looking down at his twin before replying.
"Too be honest I don't know a whole lot about what I'm doing myself...." Another hesitation. "I've never had to deal with a bullet wound before," He said reluctantly and didn't look up into the others eyes. The tabby didn't say anything more about the wound, not really wanting to get into how his brother got it in the first place.
"My arms are getting pretty tired from pressing on it," The twin switched the topic away from the type of injury to get more on the general idea that Fayst was injured. "You have to press pretty hard on it and for a long time until it stops bleeding."

Mistoffelees arched his brow at that, grabbing a towel from the bar before kneeling down beside the twin. "I know," he said quietly. "I have dealt with gun shot wounds before." He folded the towel before pressing it down on the other's shoulder.

Slowly Slois retracted his hands off of Fayst and watched Mistoffelees with a helpless look. He seriously hoped that this doctor would arrive fast. The twin didn't enjoy the feeling of sitting back and watching his brother's life force bleed out.

"How long have you two been walking around with this?" Mistoffelees asked, looking up at him and counting down the ticking of the clock in the room. "And you're not going to faint on me too, are you?"

Slois pursed his lips as he thought back. "A few days. It opened once before; we closed it, but it took a while," he said and tucked his long tail onto his lap and his hands pet over it worriedly. "To the fainting part: I don't think so. Mine are all knife cuts and I've dealt with plenty of those. They are all closed, too, anyway."
He released his tail and looked into the palm of his hands. As calmly as he could muster, he took in a breath before he asked the burning question on his mind. "He's going to be okay, right?"

"A few days?" Mistoffelees gaped at him. "Did you at least make sure the bullet was out?" His brain shut down otherwise and his own tail curled behind him.

Slois's heartbeat skipped as he realized the tom had not answered his question.
"I tried to, I think I got most of it out..." He said weakly, and he hugged his knees to his chest like a small child would. It was very uncharacteristic of him, but he just wanted the comfort his twin brother provided for him. With the life of his other half in danger, he was rapidly slinking into his childish habits.

Eyes taking in the other tom's posture, Mistoffelees swallowed hard. "I don't know if he's going to be okay," he said, softly. "He's lost a lot of blood. It clearly didn't hit anything too vital if he's been going a couple days, so the blood loss is going to be your biggest issue, and since I don't know how much he's lost..." he swallowed. "Sorry. That wasn't huge with the reassuring was it?"

Slois shook his head and looked down at his still brother, his eyes betraying his inner tormoil at his brother's position.
"No, not really..." He mumbled into his knees, not sure if the other tom heard and not really worrying about that fact too much.

Wincing, Mistoffelees looked down again. "I'm sorry," he said, voice soft and low as he looked at the twin passed out in front of him. "But as I said, it shouldn't have hit anything vital. Which means, so long as he didn't lose too much blood, he should be okay."

((I'm kind of making an assumption here based on the amount of time between posts here and on other threads that it's alright for Doc to enter?))
There was a rapid knocking on the front door before it swung open and Cohen stepped through. He took in the situation with a glance and moved over to Mistoffelees' side, "So, what happened exactly?" Even as he spoke he was opening his kit to find the supplies he would need for making sure the wound was cleaned and stitched.

Slois jumped a little at the sudden intrusion of the doctor, but he said nothing. The most he did was uncurl himself because he knew the doctor would ask questions. Right away that proved to be true and Slois winced as he remembered the memory.
"He was shot," Was all he supplied for an answer. It's all the doctor needed to know anyhow, right?
((Yeah, I was actually waiting for you to post actually.))
