Philip looked down at the paperweight again. "Oh, you know, just working. Got some new crazy photographer I'm wondering if it might not be a better idea to fire. Seeing a queen though," he added, trying to make it sound casual.

Charles' brows rose sharply at that, "You're seeing someone? What's she like?"

"Well, she likes poetry," he said with an almost dreamy smile. "Works as a cook as far as I can tell, at Hollister's place."

Charles raised his eyebrow, "How did you meet?"

Philip shifted slightly, it seemed almost frivolous. "She was buying a hat," he said. "Quoted poetry back as good as I gave, and we met in the part a short while later. It's been going from there. I did an interview with one of her uncles a while back, since the regular food guy was out sick," he made a face. "But I liked her uncle so she had that going for her too right off the bat. I don't know, she's quite different from the queens I usually talk to." Those queens of course all being socialites, or occasionally prostitutes depending on the piece. And his crazy photographer.

Charles shook his head, "She sounds charming. I'll have to meet her eventually, you do realize that?"

"Eventually?" Philip blinked at him. "Well, maybe, but, it's not like I proposed to her or something!"

Charles looked at his brother over the top of his reading glasses, "Philip, the last time I heard you talking about some queen like this was quite a while ago, a couple of years at least. I'm simply saying that I would like to meet her, not that it implies you're going to marry her."

"Oh," he managed. "It hasn't been..." he considered, counting back in his head and realized it had been at least three years. Probably closer to four. One ear flickered. "I'll bring it up with her and see if something works out," he offered.

His brother nodded slightly, "Thank you. I'm sure she's a delightful young queen."

Philip nodded, voice turning a little wistful and dreamy. "She really is."

Charles arched an eyebrow at his younger brother, "Not that I mind seeing you persay, but I do have work still to do today."

"Right, yes, you must go back to waiting for clients that don't show up," Philip said, sitting down the paperweight with a teasing grin and tipping his hat. "Good day then, brother."
