Genghis was relieved they'd got it done without any intrusion from the police, the cargo safely stowed in the warehouse and a team already taking care of decanting the rum into unmarked barrels behind closed doors. He was just finishing a quick discussion with Hendric about the agreed wage for their casual labour, deciding to up it for those who had stuck around, it would help to ensure none of them double crossed him anyway. Though he was having Hendric take their names just in case.
As he finished the conversation with Hendric, Genghis' eyes fell on the torbie tomcat again. And he took the tom's share of pay, and headed in Mungojerrie's direction.

Jerrie glanced in the Siamese's direction, his brows rising at the fact that the boss himself was coming over. This could be very good or very bad.

"Good help can be hard to find." Genghis remarked by way of explanation. "If you need work in the future, please do come and see me." He inclined his head in the direction of the Rose "My office is easy to find."

"Please do, and although I won't always be on hand myself, please speak to Hendric anytime we've got a cargo in." he started to remove his work gloves.

"Anytime." Genghis pocketed the gloves and glanced at his watch, "If you'll excuse me, I need to get going. But I look forward to hearing from you."

Jerrie watched the other go before heading off to see if he could locate any other work before considering heading downtown.
