Victoria felt herself blush and hoped her snowy fur would hide it from the other queens. "Just- just a friend. He's called Mistoffolees."

Maggie gaped for a moment and then a sunburst smile broke across her face. "Mr. Mistofelees? What a small world! He works at the same place that I do! He's a friend of mine!"

Even Electra's brows rose at that. "Is he the small black tom? I believe he's come in here a few times. He seems like quite a decent young lad, and certainly cute enough. I'm glad."

"I- oh yes. He-" Victoria was a little flustered and it took her a moment to compose a coherent sentence. "We'd met before, a long time ago, but we ran into each other in the hospital and, well it was kind of an impulse."

Maggie hoped that her grin would soon become infectious. "That's so lovely, that you met each other again. And impulses can be excellent, on occasion. I'm sure he's a wonderful dancer. I only met him a couple of months ago, and I think he's such a darling!" She didn't think that mentioning that he had lived at her home for a while would be a good idea at the moment.

"He has the built for it," Electra said with a nod. "For dancing I mean. Honestly, if you're unsure about any dances, well, I'm sure either of us could help you," she said, gesturing between herself and Maggie. "If you want to practice before going out with him I mean."

"We would love to. Help you with the dances, that is. I could even go with you, as a sort of group function, since I have a gentleman friend who I would like to take dancing as well." Maggie blushed a little as she spoke, admitting the relationship was still a new experience.

"Well I should probably finish paying for the shoes first." She pulled the amount from her purse and offered it to Miss Electra. "And I should probably get rid of these old boots. They're pretty done in."
