Misto smiled at him. "Fine," he murmured, trying out another bite. "Aside for yesterday of course, when I got routinely yelled at. And today was interesting, a bit hectic all things told. Lots of whispering and gossip."

Cori sighed, "That would require me to get the evidence from the police, but all things considered the most difficult thing will be finding a jury that the defense can't claim was influenced by the press."

Cori nodded, "I don't see the first trial being lost, I'm just worried about the risk of appeals. Though I can't see any court not convicting the cat..."

Swallowing, Misto finished the food on his plate finally. "No, I suppose there's little chance of him getting off. The press doesn't actually need to stir up too much in this case that cats haven't done themselves."

Cori nodded, "I suppose that's true, I just would rather the case not be overturned on a technicality." He rose, having finished his own meal, and picked up the dishes.

Misto blinked, honestly surprised by that--though perhaps considering dinner he shouldn't have been. "I, no, really, it's fine," he said. "I need something to do with my paws anyway, and you already cooked dinner."
