Looking down and still turning the fork over, Misto nodded, swallowing hard. "Well, I hope it works then," he murmured, and felt bad when he realized he was looking at the fork more then eating. Especially considering the effort the other had gone through it just felt ungrateful.

Misto finally looked up, offering him a weak smile. "I've been better. I... hell it's a lot to process, and then this too it just... I hope they catch him but at the same time I'm feeling so resentful that Jones wasn't and that he got away with it..." he shrugged a little helplessly. "My mind feels like it's chasing its own tail and I don't know what to do."

Misto's eyes darted to the mottled tom's eyes, and his mouth twisted. "Thank you. But that would be far too much time with my own thoughts. I would go insane if I tried I just... I don't know what to do. And I hate it. And I hate being angry. And I just..." he shook his head.

The corners of Misto's mouth twitched up. "I'm still half glad you don't," he said softly. "But... thank you for at least listening." He hesitated a moment before actually picking the fork up and attempting to eat.
