"And is eventful good?" Mac asked, taking a turn.

The cream tabby shrugged, "It passes the time, an' as f'tonight, I ain't got no complaints so far."

Mac nodded, taking another turn, still smoking the cigarette he had earlier. "I'll keep that in mind then. Passin' time and all that."

Taradan lit up again, he was too much in the habit of chain smoking these days to not have a cigarette in paw if he had nothing else to do with them. "Well there's a bit o' variety here as well. Night's I'm on my other jobs it's mostly the same deal each time." Mind you, that could be a bad thing too, he thought, recalling the day he'd been stuck with Smith and the summons to Zimmerman's office, which had been far too frequent of late. Odd how he was able to feel more at ease with the boss than he did with his second.

"Other job?" Macavity asked, only really half interested in any answer.

Taradan nodded, "I got two other jobs, night's I ain't workin' here. Nothin' y'need t'worry about." he added quickly, not wanting Macavity to get the wrong idea that his loyalties lay elsewhere. "I do a couple nights a week as a doorman at a club downtown an' the rest o'the time I do nights on security jus' down at a gass station."

Macavity spared him half a glance before turning back to the road, taking another turn. "Like either of them much?" he asked. He honestly was glad he hadn't been in that sort of position long, though cat knew he didn't want somecat like Logan getting the idea to off him and advance the ranks either...

Taradan gave a shrug, "They pay the bills I guess. I prefer nights at the club, the gas station's pretty anti-social work." Macavity didn't have any need of Taradan getting ideas of advancing; he was comfortable where he was, and didn't care much for the aquesition of power, it only made things more complicated, and Bast knew they were complicated enough at the moment.

Macavity shrugged slightly, taking another turn. "Well, payin' bills are usually a good thin'. So lon' as they don't conflict with anythin' else seems ta be workin' well enough."

The biscuit coloured tabby gave another nod, "Not so far, an' I've bin' workin' this way a few years now." It felt odd to be talking so much about himself, but he still wasn't sure if asking questions of Macavity in return was a good idea.

Macavity nodded, taking a last turn and stopping. "Good," he said, and turned to the other. "This should be simple enough, just needed ta take someone alon'." Mostly so Cor wouldn't get on his back about going places alone. "In this case, just heard some intel about a drop here. We're just pickin' up the cargo and leavin'."

Taradan nodded, ears flicking slightly as he took in the information. "It likely t'be well guarded?"

Macavity shrugged. "At this point? Probably not. But be on guard anyway." If was supposed to be heavily guarded he would have brought more henches.

Another nod from Taradan, "Got it. Comin' by sea I take it?"

Macavity blinked. "It probably did. The cargo's already in the warehouse. I think the owner thought it was goin' ta be safe once it reached his warehouse."
