((I think they're at lunch))
Pausing for a moment, Mac nodded. "Sure, shouldn't be a problem."

After a while, Brachen finished and placed his napkin on the table, already thinking about how he would portray Mac in art.

Macavity rose a moment later, gesturing with a hand toward the door. "Shall we then?"

Brachen led the way to his apartment, occasionally bouncing out of the way to step in puddles, loving the sensation of splashing. "I love the world after a fresh rain."

Macavity smiled fondly as he followed the other, glancing up at the sky. "Makes the world new," he murmured, in response to the comment on the rain. He turned his color up slightly as it was still chilly.

Brachen led the way to his new apartment, not too far from the Demoniaque. He lived on the second floor, in a room on the corner, walls mostly wide windows. Protected from outside view to all but the most determined, but it let in the light. The apartment was far more...sparse than his last one. His art supplies and the precious few books he'd gathered were really the only thing used to decorate it. "I didn't bring a lot with me. It's...rather well lit. Not my usual fair but I got here and it felt right."

Macavity glanced around, comparing mentally the two apartments and almost missing the old one more than he expected. "You're right, it does let in a lot more of the light," he murmured, ears flickering before offering the other tom a smile. "It's nice enough. So lon' as it feels right."

"This is an artists room." He motioned to the couch. "Have a seat, I'll just get my mediums."

Raising a brow slightly at that, Mac turned, settling lightly into the seat and spreading out somewhat as was his habit.

Brachen returned with his paints, pencils, a canvas, and a large sketchpad. "Just act natural."

Macavity dropped his chin to give the other a look. "Act natural?" he repeated. "That's the quickest way to have somecat stiffen up." But even as he said it, he was grinning broadly.

Smirking, Brachen began to sketch the outline. He made notes and considered his palette. He'd never been one for absolute realism, but he had no desire to bring in the macabre tendencies in his other work. Still, he found a compromise. He had a fire motif that he hoped would be subtle; part of the fire, never consumed by it, never drowned out by its presence. "The vision is so clear..." Brachen murmured, half to himself.

Mac arched a brow at that, from where he was lounging more than sitting, a cigarette out and lit. "Do I 'et ta take that as a compliment?"
