Misto sighed, flipping aimlessly through the book he was holding. He'd finished it earlier, as well as the newspaper and the rest of the reading material he had. Yes, he still hurt and he understood why he was still there, but honestly, being in the hospital was pretty boring.

Tugger's ears and tail flicked nervously as he let Mungojerrie lead them where they'd been directed. He didn't know if it was all hospitals or just Feliedae General, but he didn't feel at all comfortable here, it was connected with too many unpleasant memories. He was secretly glad for the torbie tom's company.

Jerrie glanced at Tugger, but paused in front of the door, knocking slightly before peering his head around the door. He stepped inside when he saw Misto was awake. "Hey, M."

Misto blinked at that, and then grinned. "Heya Jerrie."

Tugger followed Jerrie into the room, feeling somewhat relieved to see that his friend, whilst he didn't look brilliant, could have looked a lot worse for wear. "Hey Misto."

Misto blinked again. "Tug," he said, perhaps a bit more warily. "Hey." He glanced between the pair. "Thanks for stopping by."

Jerrie nodded, glancing around and settling for leaning against the wall, leaving the chairs available for Tugger. "How're you feelin'?"

Tugger didn't sit either, standing the other side of Mungo, fiddling with hairs in his mane, his tail curling about himself ever so slightly. He offered Misto a smile though.

For a moment Misto just blinked at both of them standing, feeling his tail curl around his leg under the blanket, trying not to wince at the pain that unconscious motion now caused. He honestly did not like the fact both of them were standing and he couldn't move from the bed. It was bad enough he was half a foot shorter than them most of the time.
His eyes darted over to Tugger, who still hadn't spoken and he felt his stomach curl ever so slightly at that before turning his eyes back to Jerrie. "As well as expected, I guess," he said softly. "Bored honestly. Used to the pain for the most part now. But, I should be recovering soon so..."

Jerrie nodded slightly, pulling a chair over and turning it backwards so he could straddle it, his arms crossed along the back as he sat down. "Recoverin's good."

Misto smiled faintly as his friend's pose, nodding. "Yeah. Should make a full recovery too, which is always nice."

To be honest, Tugger was a little stuck for something to say, Jerrie had already covered the obvious. He wanted to ask what had happened, but that seemed a little demanding from right off the bat. "That's good t'know." he managed finally, in response to Misto's answer to Jerrie's question. "I was worried when I read about this." he admitted, though his ears flicked as he spoke. He gave Misto a wry smile though, "Did'y know y'made today's paper?"

Misto smiled faintly. "Actually, yeah, I saw that. Read the entire newspaper for lack of any other material. I..." he let out a slow breath. He hadn't actually much enjoyed making the paper.

Tugger's expression creased into a frown at that, unable to stop himself asking any longer. "What happened?"

Misto blinked at him, taking another breath. Hell, he didn't want to talk about this, even to Tugger who might have known growing up about his uncle. Honestly, he still hoped if he ignored it enough, he might wake up and it would have just been a nightmare. Wincing, he shook his head slightly. "It... my uncle decided that he was annoyed at me enough to actually turn things physical."
