Jerrie shrugged, driving the rest of the way in silence, pulling to a stop outside the apartment building. He got out of the truck.

Tugger glanced up at the building as he got out of the truck, "This is it then? Any consolation, I don't recall ever bein' here with a gal..."

"Somethin' tells me she'd never take a date back 'ere." Came Jer's reply as he opened the front door tot he building and lead the way up the narrow, dingy stairs to the apartment.

Tugger just shrugged following Jerrie and glancing about as he did so, though he didn't offer any comment.

Jerrie knocked on the apartment door, waiting for Bombi to answer it.

Bombalurina heard a light, rhythmic tapping echo from down the hallway. The scarlet queen trotted down the length of the narrow corridor, paws smoothing her felt skirt gently as she unhooked the deadlock. "Morning Jerrie-" Bombi flashed the tabico a smile as she eased the door open, only noting the familiar broad stance behind him in some surprise. "Uh, hi....Tugger?" She addressed him, tilting her head somewhat in rememberance.

Tugger breathed a slight sigh of relief as he recognised the queen before him and was finally able to place her. "Small town this," he remarked, though offering her an easy smile. He felt momentarily conscious of what he was wearing compared to the last time she had seen him, but inwardly shrugged it off, it didn't look like she was any better off than he was, as their conversation at the ball had well suggested.

"Must be..." The scarlet queen mused, brushing a few stray strands of hair back, glancing back at her apartment fearfully, aware of how...awful it was. "I...You'll have to excuse the...well...it" She nodded backwards to her evil apartment, her scarlet fur managing to mask her flush of embarassment, licking her lips nervously.

Tugger shrugged, "I don't exactly live in a palace myself, love. I'm sure it's fine."

Bombalurina raised a brow at the endearment, leaning against the edge of the door, hip cocked against it. "Define fine..." She challenged him somewhat, a skeptical expression slathered over her features.

Tugger shrugged off the challange in her tone, it was way too early to be confrontatinal. "Well obviously it needs some work, else what are me an' Jerrie here for? But I ain't about t'judge you for it. That make more sense?"

((Ah, it wasn't meant confrontationally, more so jokingly. My bad. Should've been clearer))
Bombalurina offered a watery smile, glancing slightly toward Jerrie, before opening the door, walking down the hallway in embarrassment; avoiding either of their eyes as she returned to the main room beyond the impossibly narrow causeway.

Jerrie sighed very softly. He'd already told her he'd seen worse, but ah well. Following the red queen, he stepped into the main room and then moved over to look at the water damage again.

Tugger followed Mungo, he couldn't honestly say he'd had the experience of seeing worse, but he'd lived in the same house all his life, an whilst perhaps, that was in better repair than this, he'd seen it get worse over the years. It didn't surprise him that she was living in conditions like this at the very least. He followed Mungo's gaze to the damp patch, hoping he at least looked like he was understanding something from inspecting it.
