Jerrie pulled up to the Hollister's house, parking his truck in the drive, trying to decide whether to go knock on the door to let Tug know he was there, or give the other cat a few more minutes. He settled back in the seat, opting to wait just a short while longer.

Tugger's room faced the back of the house, so he was unlikely to notice the truck outside, it hadn't occured to him to check either. He was ready to go at least, though still half asleep, the job at the Fishbone suited him well because he didn't have to start til lunchtime (and he'd mostly stopped bothering to find work on the dockside). Jerrie, by comparison, seemed to have a thing for early starts.
Tugger owed Jerrie a few favours for getting him the Fishbone job at all though, so he'd agreed to be ready, however early. He stifled a yawn as he ran a comb through his headfur in front of the cracked mirror on his dresser.

After a couple minutes Jerrie finally got out of the truck, letting the door swing shut as he made his way up onto the porch and knocked.

Luckily, Tugger's bedroom door was open and he caught the knock. Giving himself a final brief glance in the glass, he grabbed his overcoat from the bed and hurried down the stairs. Though it was still a somewhat groggy look he gave Jerrie as he opened the front door, ears lacing back at the sharp January wind that greeted him, eager to steal the heat from inside the house.
"Mornin'," another yawn, "how're you?"

Jerrie looked his friend over. "Cold. You set?"

Tugger nodded, "I guess so, ready as I'll ever be anyway, unless you want t'stop in f'coffee or somethin' before we leave?"

He grinned a bit, "My bet's that she'll 'ave some there."

Tugger arched an eyebrow at that, shrugging on his overcoat before stepping out of the front door and closing it behind him. "Who is this gal anyhow?"

Tugger frowned for a moment, one paw still resting on the truck door, "Why does that name sound familiar?"

Jerrie shrugged. "No idea, but we're due at 'er place soon. Thanks again f' lendin' a paw."

Tugger finally got in the passenger side of the truck, pulling the door shut, "Don't mention it, like I said, ain't like I don't owe you. You get a second name from her?"

Jerrie, never really strong with names, frowned as he considered. Starting the truck and pulling out he finally remembered. "Piper? Mebbe."

"Bombalurina Piper?" Tugger frowned again, "Definitly sounds familiar, I hope not f'the wrong reason..."

Jerrie glanced at his friend out of the corner of his eye. "yeah, you an' me both..."
