Bombalurina quietened somewhat as she approached her apartment, pausing hesitantly in front of her building before opening the door; the deadlock long destroyed, probably by a thug.
The scarlet queen glanced, checking Jerrie was still behind, stopping at the foot of the inner stairwell. She downcast her gaze to the floor, licking her lip gently as she paused, her stance softened. "I'm second floor." She crossed her legs where she stood, skirt tapering down the length of her legs attractively, leaning against the end banister.

The torbie tom nodded slightly. "You have a key for your apartment?"

Bombalurina's paw hovered to her hip, pulling out a small silver key from the band of her skirt and holding it to him, tilting her head so her hair spilt softly over her shoulder. "If you dare." She quipped somewhat blandly, covering her initial nervousness at anyone seeing her apartment in the state is was in.

He offered her a bit of a smile, taking the key and heading upstairs.

She followed him closely, admiring his shoulders and back from behind, her eyes gently appreciate of the tom before her. Bombalurina pulled herself together somewhat, passing him as they reached the second floor stair-landing. "This way...shield your eyes." She flickered her ears, cantering gently before him, hoping she could reach 2C before he did, and soften the blow of her badly-kept apartment.

He shook his head slightly. "Darlin, really it can't be that bad."

Her gaze flickered gently to him, once again prodding a challenge, stepping forward to pluck the key from him once more and slipping it into the lock smoothly. The door clicked, Bombalurina leaning against the heavy wood as she opened the door.
The place was small, dominated by a thin hallway with two doors closely lined either side of it, before opening out to a slightly wider space. Immediately, the age of the place was apparent, the wood stained and musty in color, the floorboards bent upwards evident of severe flooding once upon a time. The ceiling held a large water mark, the paint sagging enough to warp the appearance of it, creating a bubble over the wider area. The place itself was dirty; though not immediately from Bombalurina's own keep of it, simply from years of misuse and previous tenants. Bombalurina pressed her back to the wood, tilting her head with some embarrassment away and into her apartment. "...Isn't that bad?" She passed him a slight glance through her peripherals. She slipped the key out gently from the look, breezing past him once more and down the thin hallway.

"Try getting past the toad..." She rolled her eyes, gesturing to the outer hall of apartment building to indicate her loathesome landlord. The scarlet queen approached her small, half-water marked kitchen, filling the kettle to try boil some water. "Tea, or coffee?" She threw over her shoulder, tail swirling somewhat behind her as she sought the handsome tom's preference.

"Coffee, please. I'll be back down in a bit. Gonna see if'n I c'n get in up there." He slipped from the apartment and up the stairs, locating the apartment and knocking. When he received no answer he set to work on the simple lock.

Bombalurina turned to start brewing the coffee, smiling gently to herself. She would be lieing to herself if she failed to admit she found him...interesting. No tom had offered her help with her place before...and he was built awfully nice...She purred to herself through her gentle humming, though it was quickly choked by a sudden thought.
Guys that nice always had a gal. She was sure Mrs. Handsome-and-Friendly wouldn't be too appreciative of her pawing around his shoulders while he did her a favour. Sobering some, she sighed with a gentle huff. Life was not fair.

Jerrie entered the upstairs apartment, moving over to where the water damage was and checked the ceiling, nope, this was the problem location. He knelt, checking the floor. It was completely rotten, and he was rather glad he hadn't taken a step further. Probably the damage would have to be pulled up and re-done completely. Likely there were pipes in here that were leaking into her ceiling too. Oi, this could be a delight. On the other paw it meant sticking around a bit longer...He shook his head at that thought. Not a good plan, especially since he'd just told Demeter he wasn't ready for a relationship. He meant that too.

Bombalurina milled around in her kitchen, pottering around as she waited for the kettle. Her humming soon wandered to a gentle murmurring of one of her favourite songs - Cat, she missed music. The scarlet queen sighed somewhat, her dreams shattered, but pulsing somewhere in her memory with every gentle melody.
It was no matter - No dream, No fella...She was lucky Phil had given her the second job or soon it would've been No Place (though, she often wondering how much cleaner the street was then her walls.) Bombalurina flickered her downcast gaze instead to the ceiling, which creaked in pain, Jerrie's footsteps above echoing down. She pondered for a moment; admittedly, fantasising about perhpas just a peck on the cheek, before the kettle screeched wildly for attention. The queen jumped, pulling it from the stove and preparing the rest of his coffee, stirring in sugar and milk more so out of habit. She supposed he'd be sweet enough without the extra scoop but...she hazarded another.
Part of her wanted to show him she could be sweet too.

The torbie checked the floorboards with his claws, grimacing as it came away easily. This wasn't going to be the simple patch job he was hoping for considering how much he was likely getting paid for the job. Damn it.

Bombalurina carried his coffee cup up the stairs, surprised at the condition of the vacant apartment above hers as she entered. "I...this place is worse then mine..." She murmurred, her green eyes wandering down the length of the torbie's back appreciatively before cocking her hip, offering the beverage to him gently. "I hope its alright...I wasn't sure if you liked it strong or milky."
