He rested his paw over hers for a moment, offering her another smile before bidding her a good evening and slipping off to see if he could locate somecat else to socialize with.

Tantomile nodded a goodbye, her eyes following the other cat through the room for a moment before turning away. Part of her was tempted to seek out her brother now there was nothing to loose, and have a further go at him. Then again she didn't think that would help her cause. Better to thumb her nose at her brother by showing him that their encounter had not spoiled her evening and taking satisfaction in knowing that he was likely hating every minute.
