Mac looked over the files quickly, shuffling through them. "I would certainly like you ta keep up with him, figure out what he did see and why he reacted the way he did. Alright then, your perspectives are different, but why can't you be cheerful then?"

Tantomile nodded, "I'll keep that in mind then, I won't terminate his appointments just yet. But I'd appreciate some warning of when you're going to act with him, so that I have time to insure I'm not implicated. Incidently, if you want Coricopat to deal with it you'll have to ask him yourself. I won't waste my time smiling at thinly veiled insults and I'm not sure I have enough patience left to be civil. I don't have the energy for another arguement either. He's gone too far this time. I trust that answers your question?"

Mac raised a brow. "I'll look through this reports and let you know what I'm goin' ta do then shall I? And how far did he go then?"

Tantomile nodded, "Thank you. As for the rest, I'm not sure I want to discuss it. Besides, it's rather awkward, I know you know there is no love lost between my brother and I, but I also know you consider him a friend."

Mac arched a brow at that, leaning back and fishing out a cigarette. "So? That doesn't mean he's not a cold bastard and everyone gets their chance ta complain about him."

"Then forgive me if I choose to retain the moral high ground by not slandering him further." Tantomile replied, it had nothing to do with that of course, but she doubted she could make Macavity understand just how and why Coricopat had upset her. She wasn't sure she wanted to mention how her brother had dredged up their kittenhood to anyone. "I'm sure if you're that desperate for the story, you can ask him yourself."

"Oh come now. He would never tell me. You might," Mac said with a slight smirk but he shrugged anyway. "So, you find your gift yet?"

Tantomile smiled slightly for the first time since she'd entered the office, "I did thank you, it was delivered last night, though I waited until this morning to open it. You really needn't have, but I appreciate the thought."

"You managed to find one of the few psycology books I've been dying to get my paws on since I was stuying, and a first edition at that, how could I fail to like it?" Tantomile's expression barely flickered, but her voice betrayed her excitement.

Mac's lazy grin widened. "I try my best," he replied. Perhaps he did go a bit overboard with Christmas, but he enjoyed it, and it wasn't like he didn't have the money.

Tantomile offered him another smile, "Well thank you for your extravogance." she teased slightly, "I shall relish taking the time to read it. I've studied the theory of course, but it will be fascinating to actually read the source material for myself."
