Teazer shook her head, "Uh, so long as I ain't wokin' I guess." a pause, "I dunno what Jer'll say though."

Oh, hell, Sonya thought, freezing slightly. Yes, he was not sure what the other cat would say either. That might get him punched in the face though, especially after saying he had no intentions... which he had not, and which he was not sure he still had. He just wanted to spend some time with her, did that mean he had intentions. "Well, think about it," he said as smoothly as he could.

"I guess I could just try not t'mention it to him." Teazer suggested after a moment, wanting this to happen more than she realised. "What he don't know won't hurt him after all."

"I meant... think about a time. I would hate for you to have to keep things from your brother," he said. He could deal with it at any rate. Even though he would prefer the other to not hate him, he was willing to give that up as a lost cause.

She gave a small shrug, "Wouldn't be the first time," Teazer admitted, trying to sound causal about it. "I guess if you wanted t'do it in the day, it might be a nice way t'spend the time between a split shift. "In the evenin' I'd hafta' wait til Jer's workin' late."

He paused at the idea that they might end up sneaking behind somecat's back but shrugged. "The day could work. Crime tends to be at the most busy during the evening, so an afternoon would be good."

Teazer nodded, thinking, "I'm on a split shift on Thursday, would that suit you?"

He paused for a second, counting days in his head. "Would a time after New Years work for you? Between now and then things are going to be a little hectic." His father was making white noise and him again, and with Hollister hosting that ball that he had not prepared for at all...

Teazer's ears drooped slightly, but she nodded, "I guess so. I don't have my shifts f'after then though, so you'd hafta ask me again nearer the time."

"I am sorry," he said, "For offering and then making you wait. But..." he bit his bottom lip, thinking. A few hours wouldn't be too hard, would it? But even so, New Years was only a few days away.

She shook her head, "It's okay, I know you're busy. Gives me time t'figure out Jerrie anyway."

"True," he said, though it also gave him time to mentally work himself into a panic as well. He shifted, draining the coffee. "Well..."

"Anythin' else? Or is that it f'today?2 Teazer asked, slipping momentarily back into waitress mode.

Sonya shook his head. "No, I do not think so. But thank you, as usual."

She nodded, picking up the tray again, "The coffee's on the house then, since y'didn't actually ask f'it."
