He sighed and nodded. "Alright. I shall be back then, then," he said, tipping the brim of his hat to her slightly and with one last glare toward the manager breezing through the door.

Teazer's eyes followed Sonya as he left, before she caught her manager's experssion again and hurried back to work. Normally, she liked this job well enough, but she just wanted tonight to be over.
Four hours later in finally was, the last customers had thankfully left a while ago, and Teazer was sat a a table wrapping cutlery when midnight finally rolled around.

Sonya walked back in about that time, drooping slightly due to exhaustion. The doors had not bee locked yet, and he meandered over to the table where she was sitting. "Good evening, or," he said glancing toward the clock. "I believe it is one minute into morning now."

The torbie queen's immidiate reaction was to glance across the room to where her manager was stacking chairs upside down on tables, but he shook his head, waving her away with a gesture of his paw, secretly glad she had an escort home, it meant he didn't have to feel guilty for having made her stay late.
Teazer finished wrapping the napkin around a cutlery set and deposited it in the crate in front of her, before getting to her feet. She glanced at Sonya but said nothing, somewhat abashed at how she'd behaved earlier, and slighltly humbled in that he'd still bothered to come back for her. Besides, she was too tired to care now and was feeling grateful for the company. It would be a long walk out of town to her home.
She padded off to clock out and collect her coat and bag, nodding to Sonya as she returned, buttoning the coat.

Sonya was tired, yes, but at the point where that was such a normal state for him he hardly bothered the care. He opened the door for her. "How was the rest of your shift then?" he asked. He had considered bringing a car around, but this late at night did not want to be driving her anywhere in a police marked car--even if she had been willing to get inside one.

"Long," Teazer admitted, "and borin'." she shivered a little as they stepped into the freezing air, no doubt they'd have snow before too long. "Look, I..., well I'm sorry about before. I just..." she shrugged, "Like I said, you're a lot like my brother in some ways. Me an' him don't always see eye t'eye on this stuff either, he worries too much." another sigh, and he'd be furious if he was back before her most likely.

He nodded. "In our defense though, this town gives one a lot to worry about," he said softly, noticing her shiver and handing his scarf to her. "Besides, it is somewhat on my way home as well." Somewhat meaning that at least he was out of the station and heading home more than anything else. Though, it was not in the opposite direction either.

Taking the offered scarf, Teazer reached up with some difficulty and slung it back around Sonya's neck, "Stop fussin', I'm fine." a pause, and she offered him a smile "I appreciate the company though. Makes the walk go faster if nothin' else."

He smiled at her. "I have thicker fur," he said in regards to the scarf. "And you looked like you needed it more than me anyway. My coat was designed for Russian winters after all." In regards to the walk he needed. "I am glad you would apperciate the company at least."

Teazer shrugged, shoving her hands deep into her pockets, "I've got enough used to the weather here. And I guess I did promise you we could talk when I clocked off." she admitted.

He paused for a moment and then smiled softly. "So you did. I had mostly forgotten that." He was actually tempted to reach an arm out and wrap it around her but resisted. "So then..."

"Mmm?" Teazer glanced up at him, meeting his eyes but waiting for him to find their next topic of conversation.

He shrugged slightly. "Aside from work then, and your awkward pushy costumers, how goes with you?" Had he not already asked that earlier? Ah well. Maybe his next question would be a more decent one.

"Once I got out of that damn courthoue, yes, I was able to get some work done. Mostly just paperwork finishing up on some cases, but nothing big has happened in the last few days. Most cases are going to court now, one way or another, and our only major investigation has stalled due to lack of sane witnesses, or any leads. So, all in all, mostly housekeeping. I guess it need to be done sometime." He sighed, thinking of the case he had been called in on again. He actually was not sure he would get any sleep that night, having had the past thrown in his face that way by Zimmerman. He was ready to acuse the other of doing it on purpose.
