"Saves on the bus fare a bit anyway, that hotel of his ain't quite as far as the docks. He said he'd give me a lift down there afterwards." Tugger paused for a moment, "You sure it don't bother you? Just after what you said last night, about not speakin' to him..." he let the sentance hang, not really sure why he was asking, normally he couldn't care less if something he did got up Munkustrap's nose. He didn't know what was different about this.

Munkustrap shrugged a bit. "There's no reason for it to. I'm glad you two are smoothing things over."

Tugger shifted a little, "Well if he's gonna stick around I figured I might as well try." he was trying with Munkustrap too, though he wasn't about to say so.

The tabby nodded slightly. "Makes sense." He had a little too much pride for that, himself, but it was a good idea anyway.

Tugger nodded, sipping his coffee in silence for a moment and watching his brother over the top of the cup.

Munkus leaned against the counter, taking a bite of his food. Well, it certainly wasn't much but it was edible at least. He shook his head very slightly, having a feeling Electra would be less than thrilled with his choice of a meal. He might just have to stop by at lunch tomorrow, assuming that the case was done.

"So long as I don't start lookin' like you." Tugger replied, though his tone was teasing. Tugger was a little on the thin side, but he didn't look so obviously worn down as his brother.
