He nodded again, a small smile gracing his face. "Really? Well, I do like apple pie every once and a while. And what about you? What kind of a desert person are you?"

Teazer was caught off guard by the question, "I, uh, I don't know. I'm not very fussy, but I guess I'd rather have somethin' proper than a dessert that's somethin' and nothin' y'know? I've got a bit of a sweet tooth though so I prob'ly wouldn't turn down anything'."

His smile widened slightly at that as he finished the cup of coffee and held it out for a refill. He filed that information away too. She was markedly different from many other queens he knew growing up--fussy would be a mild way to describe them. "A sweet tooth eh?"

Teazer filled the cup almost automatically, "Yeah, I try not t'eat too much of it, coz I know it ain't good f'me. Some of the other other girls who work here are always so fussy about their weight, they act like it's a sin t'like sweet things."

Sonya shook his head at that. "Some people thing anything enjoyable is a sin... besides, a queen being too skinny is hardly attractive."

Teazer, aware that she, by nature rather than concious weight watching, was on the skinny side anyway, bit her lip at that, wondering one minute if that meant Sonya thought she wasn't attractive, and the next, why that should bother her. The blush crept back into her cheeks a little and the pearl fiddling reumed.

Sonya managed to keep his eyebrows down at that reaction, though they were tempted to shoot up. "Too skinny," he said, voice soothing and then wondered what the hell he was doing. "You're hardly underweight. Though hardly..." there was no way to win this he realized after the sentence was out. "You're at a good weight," he finished lamely. "Just don't starve yourself and don't worry about it either and you'll be fine." Now that he had embarrassed himself for the night with a queen... how many years younger than him?

Teazer's blush got a bit brighter, clashing horribly with her torbie markings, "I didn't say... I know I'm not." she sounded a little defiant at the end, "I ain't the kinda' girl who goes around doin' stuff like that. Got enough t'worry about without worryin' if I put on a few pounds."

"Oh good," he said, starting to faintly blush himself. He was going to blame this on too much coffee and not enough sleep. Someday he would learn... He glanced down at his empty coffee cup. "Well, I think that was my self-imposed limit on how much coffee to have tonight. I should probably... go."

Teazer softened a little, "Seems silly t'waste the cup I just poured you."

He glanced down at the suddenly full cup again. "Oh, well, yes, of course. But after this one I should probably cut myself off." He offered her a faint smile.

"I can get the bill whilst y'finish if y'like," Teazer suggested, "not t'rush you though.

He paused, considering. "Well, whichever you like. Even if you get the bill, I don't have to pay it instantly do I?"

"Teazer shook her head, "Course not, though don't leave it too long or you'll be wantin' another coffee, then I'd hafta' bring you a new bill and then it could start all over again." she poked the tongue out at him to show she was teasing.

Sonya actually laughed at that, not just a chuckle. "I'll keep that in mind," he said, grinning. "I promise I won't leave it long enough for that."
