Sonya's eyebrows rose at that. "Indeed. Your day sounds like it's been almost as long as mine. These diners tend to open early after all."

Teazer nodded, "Early openin' and late closin', though I don't tend t'work the night shifts. It's a good enough livin' though, helps pay the bills and the like."

"Indeed," he agreed about the bills and pay. He paused for a moment. "I never did catch your name?"

Teazer chuckled, "Well that's coz' you never asked, Rumpelteazer Wheeler, though most call me Teazer f'short."

Sonya offered up a tired smile. "Indeed, I completely forgot. So then... would you prefer me to call you Teazer as well?"

Teazer nodded, "Sure, hardly ever get called by my full name, even when Jer's angry he still don't hardly ever use it. Do I get t'know yours in return?"

Sonya nodded as well, though he hesitated a moment. Since becoming Commissioner he was certainly more well known around town, though he could pass as a business man or any other well dressed tom as long as people did not actually know. But unless she recognized the name and did not ask about what he did... It was hardly that he was ashamed of his job, just that he did not always like everyone knowing just how much pressure he was under (Though apparently it was physically obvious). "Sonya Vlask," he said, holding out a paw to shake.

Teazer transferred the coffee pot to her other hand and shook the offered paw, "Nice to meet you, Mr Vlask." she knew she'd allowed familiarity with her own first name, but given he was still the customer, well, she'd wait until he offered before she called him anything else.

Sonya paused for a moment. "If I can call you by your first name, it would only be fair of you to call me Sonya," he said with a tired smile.

Teazer grinned "Well in that case it's nice to meet you Sonya." she repeated, sticking her tongue out at him. A pause whilst she ganced around the cafe again, checking the other customers were catered to. Satisfied that they were content, she turned back to Sonya.
"So uh, since it's obvious what I do, what do you get up to when you're not drinkin' places dry of their coffee?" she asked, perhaps it was overly familiar, but some part of Teazer felt quite comfotable around him, he might've looked tired, but the tomcat before her still managed to radiate an air of someone you could depend on. It reminded her somewhat of Jerrie, but differently.
((Btw, given her history and the still in the basement, there's a chance she might initially stop being so comfortable around him if she finds out he's a cop.))

((Yeah, most likely, but after a direct question like that he can hardly think of a reason not to tell her what he is.))
He chuckled when she stuck her tongue out at him, but paused when asked about his job. "Well, I'm always drinking places dry of their coffee," he said. "But usually I do it down at the Police Department." It somehow always seemed arrogant to mention he basically ran the entire place. "I'm the Police Commissioner."

Teazer felt the fur prick up slightly along the back of her neck, so much for that dependable air, life had taught her never to be too comfortable around cops. If Jerrie knew she was getting all pally with the Commissioner he'd be furious. And with the still in the basement, she could hardly blame him.
"I uh.. I guess that explains the coffee addiction alright." she agreed, trying not to let her unease show, worst thing she could do was start looking guilty now she knew who he was, and cop or not, he still seemed like a nice person, she didn't want to offend him.

Sonya sighed, noticing her stance become a bit more uneasy. Yes, well. "It does indeed explain my coffee addiction," he said, somewhat forcing his smile to remain in place. "Too many late nights and early mornings. It's really the job with the most ridiculous hours possibly on the planet."

Teazer nodded, inwardly attempting to relax, "I guess crime doesn't operate on business hours, no wonder y'look so tired."

"The day crime operates on a normal schedule is the day I'll probably be able to retire," he said, the smile becoming slightly less forced. "And the day I'll actually be able to sleep." Even when he did get to bed at a normal hour, it did not mean that he would actually be able to fall asleep.
