Tantomile gave Macavity a smile, "Not from me. Though I've been asked to give a second opinion on numerous occasions."

She took out her notebook, intending to note down anything Macavity said about her reports, though she hardly expected him to find fault with them. Her eyes were on him as he read the file though, the Hidden Paw could be a tough cat to read, but that had never prevented her from trying, natual curiostiy being stronger.

He scanned through the files, finally glancing back up at her. "What about this one?" he said, pointing to one. "Can you certify him as insane? That way no one will take him seriously and he can be locked away without having to drag your brother into it."

Tantomile looked at them name on the file and flicked back a few pages in her notebook, studying what she had previously written there. "I could, but the grounds are shaky, I most likely could find reason for it, but they might wonder why I was pushing for it, unless there was a very specific reason, such as his 'condition' being a danger to others." a pause, "I do have a reputation to uphold here, and I wouldn't be much use to you without it. I would have thought what is already there would be more than enough to swing things your way, even a lawyer with lesser ability than Coricopat ought to be able to make a good case of it."

Mac nodded, satisfied with that. "Good enough," he said, "Even though that man was a particular bother." He turned to another file, considering it.

Tantomile raised an eyebrow at Macavity, "As I said, if you deem it necessary it's not impossible. I just don't think it would be worth it without good reason." She scribbled something down before turning her attention back to Macavity.

Mac thought for a moment before shaking his head. "As long as he 'ets put away, I'll be happy. If you think you can 'et that done with just this, then that's fine. If you need to push or have someone else push to make sure it happens, do that." He watched her scribbling for a moment, and almost remarked on it.

"I'll perhaps put a few words in the right ears. If you intend on putting my brother on it, as much as it pains me to say it, I'd say things are watertight. If you're concerned about 'Zimmerman' being stamped all over the case as being suspicious, then I do think that another lawyer would be capeable, and there may be a few things I can do that are less extreme than having him certified insane to ensure that." she was still scribbing as she spoke, though her eyes were on the tomcat across the desk more often than the notebook page.

Mac nodded again. "Actually not too worried about stampin Zimmerman over the case since most people who've ever worked with either of you know you hate each other. You two agreein' on anything would probably shock them so much. Not ta mention if you agreed on anythin' they'd have to think it was damn important." He frowned as he watcher her continue to write. "Do you have ta take notes all the time?"

Tantomile smiled at that, a thin smile, but she was genuinely amused. Her expression straightened out when Macavity picked up on her note taking. "Would you prefer it if I stopped?"

Mac shrugged. "Just wonderin'," he said, turning back to the file in front of him. "Doesn't mean you need ta stop."

"In that case," Tantomile replied, "it's more of a preference than a neccessity, I've got a perfectly good mind for information, but making notes helps to order as well as to commit to memory. But if it bothers you I can always write things up on my own time."

Mac shrugged again. "Go ahead. Just make sure not to write anythin' done about my habit will you?"

"And what habit would that be?" Tantomile gave him an inqusitive look, though clearly bordering on amusement.

Arching a brow Mac considered. "Don't know. You noticin' any?"

"Well everyone has habits, but now that you mention it, there are one or two that strike me as interesting." a light chuckle, "I warn you, I charge at a half-hourly rate."
