Mac shrugged. "Black."

"Alright, I'll see if I have some brewed. And you, Tugger?" She looked at the younger tom.

Tugger shrugged, trying not to project his temper onto Griddlebone. "Nothin' thanks. Ain't really in the mood."

"Fair enough. I'll be back with that coffee." She looked at Mac for a moment before slipping into the back rooms where the private kitchen was and put some coffee on, returning to her place behind the bar to make sure the other customers were set.

Mac arched his eyebrows at her look, and turned back to Tugger, watching his brother rather than saying anything.

Tugger glared back, "What?" he didn't feel he had much to say to Macavity. Not after the way his brother had been treating him.

Mac shrugged. "Nothin'. 'm just here, waitin' for my coffee. You have somethin' ta say?"

Tugger should have just turned around and left at that point, he knew it. But somehow he didn't quite have the courage of his convictions. Subconciously his brain was reminding him that until last night, he hadn't seen his eldest brother in over a year, if he walked out now, who knew when the next opportunity might be.
"Wouldn't have thought this was your sort of place." he remarked after a long silence, though there was still hostilty in his tone, he wasn't going to forget everything that easily.

Another roll of Mac's shoulders. "I was in the area and followed you in." He glanced around. "Doesn't look like a bad place," he added though. Except of course the fact that so much alcohol so close was putting his fur on edge and the crowds were making him feel like going into a protective crouch. Drawing out a cigarette, he lighted it, his eyes constantly looking around the room.

Griddlebone slipped into the back again and returned to the front with a cup of coffee. She glanced around, seeing that the tabby was still there. The white queen came over, setting the coffee down on the bar. "Here you go."

Macavity nodded at the queen. "Thank you," he said, pulling the toward him.

She nodded, pausing a moment, but decided she had other things that needed to be done. "Evening, fellas." She made her rounds again.

Tugger half wished Griddlebone had stayed, it would have at least given him an excuse to be doing so other than Macavity.
"I guess that you didn't seek me out just t'find out what happened with the Comissioner is something. But it still don't mean squat."

Mac glanced back over at him over the top of the coffee cup, his cigarette in his other paw. "So what would mean squat ta you anyway?" he asked, not entirely sure he cared about the answer.

Tugger's shrug was non-comittal, "What does it matter anyway, probably won't see you again f'another year or more."
