Jerrie slipped out of the kitchen, returning a few minutes later dressed hurriedly, and grabbed his truck keys. "C'mon, M. I'll be home soon, Teaze."

Misto had been shifted from foot to foot awkwardly in the meantime, before he moved over to the sink and washed the dishes. He tried not to look too relieved when he saw Jerrie return. He turned to Teazer and tipped his hat to her as he put it on. "I hope you have a good day," he said to her and then almost fled the house.

He offered her a half smile. "I know, Tea. It's alright. I'm sorry too. I'll see y' later." He grabbed his hat and coat, following Misto out to the truck.

Teazer nodded, watching her brother to the door before going back to the kitchen to clean up any of the breakfast things Mistoffelees had missed. She sighed, it wasn't exactly how she had invisaged starting her day.
