Misto nodded again. "Amen to that." He glanced over at Tugger out of the corner of his eye. "But you're okay, right?"

Tugger shrugged "I've been better." he admitted, not looking at Mistoffelees, "Just sick of all this, y'know?"

Misto sighed, leaning back against the bench and crossing his arms over his chest. "Yeah. But a steady job should help right?"

[amanika]

Tugger's tone was bitter,"If I can hold down a steady job. So far I've worked one day an' taken the next off."

[victoriousscarf]

Misto blinked at him. "Oh. Well, you never know until you try." He certainly wasn't one to talk about that either, never holding a job more than a week or two.

[amanika]

"Well I don't have the best track record." Tugger admitted, "I shoulda got up an' gone back to the docks today instead of staying out all night and not getting up til nearly noon again. Mind you, at least Deuteronomy was out by then."

Misto nodded. "Well, you'll just have to awe them tomorrow. I'm sure you can do it."

[amanika]

Tugger offered his friend a weak grin, "Thanks. Better try for an early night then I suppose, an' see if Mungo'll give me a lift down to the docks if he's goin' that way again."

Misto smiled back at him. "Yeah. Good luck. I'm sure you can be great at... whatever the job is."

[amanika]

Tugger chuckled, "The job is whatever pays."

[victoriousscarf]

"Those are usually the best kinds," Misto said, grinning.

[amanika]

"Tends to help," Tugger agreed, "an' I can't afford to be choosy." a pause, "What about you, would you do this all year round if you could?"

[victoriousscarf]

Misto shrugged. "Not sure. If the weather was appropriate, I'd like to be able to do this but that's just not the case."

[amanika]

Tugger leant back a little on the bench, "Yeah, but if it wasn't a problem, is doin this what makes you happy?"

"Yeah," Misto said, nodding. "It is."
