Name: Acaimes Kontos. (of Grecian origin)
Aliases: Ace.
Age: Nearly thirty, and doesn’t act her age at all.
Build: Lithe, and slender, she tends to keep herself on her toes about her physical stature. She’s not the curviest Queen in the business, but she definitely has that feminine twist and swing to her hips and stride that make her long legs and tall torso a good spectacle. She’s maybe a good 5’ 6”, nearly 5’ 7”.
Origin: Born to Grecian parents in Felidae, in the less-than-nice parts of the city.
Occupation: Crime Reporter of the Felidae Tribune. It’s always fascinated her, crime.
Eyes: Pale hazel, as simple as that. A lot of personality shows through her eyes.
Hair: Almost calico in nature; a white base, spotted with tawny brown and an almost yellow-brown. It reaches the middle of her shoulder-blades when it’s down, and naturally – and annoyingly – straight and spiky, but she almost always has it up in a side-bun, with tendrils of hair falling out here and there; when she’s out on the town, at least. She puts it through a strenuous amount of hair curlers and conditioners to get it smooth and the least bit wavy. If she wants to let it down or try something new, she will; her appearance isn’t that ridiculously important to her. But the attention of toms never hurt a girl, right?
Scars: It would not seem it, but Acaimes’ time in the slummier parts of the city taught her good about where to keep out of and where to go. She’s gotten in a bit of trouble with metal-wire fences in the past, and her clumsiness has caused a few nasty tumbles, but other than that, she’s got no scars where they aren’t abnormal. Just a few bumps and bruises and scabs, is all.
Fur/Markings: Her fur is rather simple; a plain, light grey base, and a white belly, throat, legs, and arms, with yellow-grey and dark grey stripes littering her arms, back, and thighs. She has the most peculiar fading leopard spots going up her arms, accompanied by tufts of dark fur at her elbows, but her grandfather had the same pattern, and she figures it’s at the least a trait from him.
Attire: Her color palette has always been very low-key and similar; mostly to match her fur color. She enjoys skirts, mostly, but the short style of the flappers' dresses catch her off-guard at times. She favors the straight-cut blouses of the times, normally cream and tan, and wears a darker-tinted skirt below that, hitting at least the knee or the middle of the calf. The only hat she'll wear is her reporter's hat, and she finds the style of 'sweater-and-a-skirt' enjoyable. If it's cold enough outside, she'll be seen in a sweater with a shirt beneath, and a skirt to accompany it. While her skirts limit her following a story at the most inopportune times, she makes do.
Accessories: Her ‘reporter’s hat’ is probably her most favored accessory. A dusty tan, with a brown band about the cap and an unruly brown feather of some anonymous bird poking out from the side, she wears it on every occasion she can, finding it rather cute. It’s a rather obnoxious item, but, she doesn’t think so.
WOC: Having desired to get down and dirty into the crime she reports on, ‘Ace’ did ‘bother’ with physical training, and fighting styles you could find on the street, but her most favored weapon - and her only firearm – is a long-barreled, 22 caliber revolver she keeps in her belt (or, when at home, her dresser). It’s the only weapon she really knows how to handle, and it comes in handy quite a bit.
Appearance: Lithe, athletic, and tall in stature, Acaimes stands at 5' 7" in human standards, and weighs around 140, give or take because of muscle. She is quite athletic, and her legs are long and toned due to nice amounts of running almost everywhere she can. She gets her tail caught in things a tad too often, so she's been known to keep it too close to her legs at times. Her torso’s rather long, and she’s got a meager little chest to speak of. She's got a few nicks in her ears from jumping fences following a story, and slipping on garbage and glass, but other than that, she's your average pretty kitty.
Personality: Often regaled in tales of the theater from her mother, and her grandfather as well, Acaimes has always been fascinated by the stage, and would deeply love to be performing one day. She’s been in low-scale productions, of course, but nothing of note. Her talent is the twisting of the tongue, the written word. A skilled writer ever since her father, a low-key reporter, taught her how to bend the mind of the reader with just the simplest word. While she has spunk to her writing that is a bit… more-or-less odd for a crime reporter, Acaimes tries her best to keep up with the polished air the better women in society have.
Of course, nobody could keep up that kind of façade for too long, and she will open up plainly around those whom she considers close friends or people she can, in fact, ease up around.
With her mother’s insistency of her finding a mate to settle down with and have children with, Acaimes has focused on the finer specimens of society as her basis of interest in the male sex. While she has dug lower for sex, enjoyment, and general friendship, she believes that the more formal of the toms could truly win her heart. It’s really all the hopeless, romanticized ideas she’s gotten by reading too much, really. But who could blame her, with such fine males running about?
On terms of her job, Ace tries to keep it as serious as she can… which doesn’t last for long. Being a generally light-hearted, smiling kind of queen, Acaimes has a tough time not to crack jokes and get a laugh out of people, even in the generally-out-of-place times and scenarios. It hasn’t gotten her into too much trouble so far, so she figures, ‘Why not?’.
Special skills: Her way with the typed word is something she prides herself on, and she really enjoys her ability to gather readers with her stories.
Weaknesses: She believes herself to be a bit of the ‘cream of the crop’ of writers, and is a bit too proud of her own ways of the written word. In other ways, she finds herself to be more beautiful than she is, and creates ridiculous scenarios of herself and others in her head, leading to many let-downs and constant disappointment with her life where it is at times. Her sense of humor and timing is also something to be… well, not necessarily admired. She has the awful habit of dropping ‘joke bombs’ at inopportune and sometimes inappropriate moments.
It’s really a wonder she didn’t go for the flapper scene, with her attitude.
Fears: Losing her job, mainly. She doesn’t mind the pay, the reputation, the business of it all. It means terribly much to her, and with her current standing, she fears that, if she does get dropped, she may not be able to get another good job anywhere else, which is really a standing on her close-mindedness than anything. Not only does she want to prove herself to the city, but to her father, who is already so proud of her all ready.
Likes: The average pleasures of life – a good meal, a cozy bed, a good glass of red wine, and a friend to regale the events of the day with. She adores the theater, and has been to see many of the live shows in her able time. The toms have been a priority that lingers in the back of her mind, only springing up when needed, or coaxed out. Her job, and the typewriter, are also close favorites; writing is really her passion.
Dislikes: Those kind of queens who are entertaining a new tom each week, going out to expensive dinners, then complaining about how ‘lifeless and pallid’ their lives are. Or the type of gawkers that stand at every crime scene and ask too many questions; she’s never tried to be anything more than polite to the police. Rival reporters get her goat too.
History: Born in the slummier parts of Felidae in 1895, to an older Aeolos Kantos and a young Margareet Kantos (nee Whitley), Acaimes was the only child out of her parents’ union, and the lucky one to get all of their affections. Having been spoiled and lavished as best as she could by her parents, she had no idea that they poured all their meager pay into her. Come her age of eight, she finally got a smack of sense across the face when her mother fell ill. It was not a life-threatening sickness, but she was bed-ridden for months, and at that time, Acaimes’ light-heartedness stayed at their home, and her serious work-sense came clawing out of her bloodlines. She picked up two paper routes and began saving every bit of money she could for her family. Along with her father’s job at a smaller, local newspaper, and her grandfather’s small bookstore, they gathered enough money to have her mother treated in the best way, and soon she improved. But the toll had done its work, and Acaimes soon became eager to help her family in more ways than ever. So she asked her father about the pay of his job. She had always written stories for her mother to read the night before she’d go to school and then work. She knew how his job worked, and she thought she could manage to do something; even if it was just print the big old title.
So, when she was on the cusp of eighteen, she was hired by the same joint her father worked at to go out and review smaller productions at local theaters, and write small columns about them. Having loved her theater from her mother’s history of performances, she leapt at the chance to do something so procreative. Her spicy words and intricate text-weaving landed her a higher job, which led to her being hired by the Felidae Tribune when she was a fresh and new twenty-four year old. She’s worked, at first, as a smaller columnist, reviewing tinier news, until a small theft appeared on her list of topics. And she took that bait like a fish to a worm.
Her interesting take and viewpoint on the happenings landed her a higher job in the department, leading to her becoming the Crime Reporter of the newspaper. She earns mainly for her family now, her grandfather since dying, and her retired parents coming to own the bookstore. Acaimes works for them, and herself, now living in a tiny apartment flat somewhere near the Tribune’s offices. She couldn’t be happier; the weapon training and fancy hat were just great bonuses.
Love Interest: She’s got a bit of a thing for the ‘Lonzo fellow at the docks, but she gets quite… blatant around toms, causing her severe self-esteem issues whenever she leaves their presence. She figures, if the guy shows his own interest first, she’ll go for it.
Which is, really, not a good plan at all.
Quotes:
“Got a new caper for me then, Boss?”
“Well, go on, move those gams and let’s go.” ---> (Mainly to her friends, as she tries to refrain from slang.)
Theme Song: “Murder He Says” – Gene Krupa and Anita O’Day. A good song to describe her rather lenient view on crime; and it’s just a good song to dance to, which she enjoys as well.

[i]Blahhh sorry for the overload of description. Way too much muse. >___< I can shorten the history, if you want -- I couldn't find non-vital information to cut out, although I originally had six paragraphs, and then realized I only needed three/required three or less than it xD All of this is basically able to be changed.
